It's exhausting work, this. And every once in a while I think it's a really healthy thing to take some time out, for the sake of your own sanity and in the interest of a little light-hearted relief.

Here's where you can just waffle about ordinary things and the simple things that shine a little light on your life without necessarily having to make reference to 9/11.

So I'll start, shall I?

Come on England !!

I may be half the world away, but my sense of sporting patriotism is as strong as ever. Due to the time difference and the occasional ale or two, I turned up to work often bleary eyed during last years' Ashes triumph, and I fear the same is about to happen with the world cup!

Love it.

I'm not much of a footy person myself. I find it helpful to do music. I have been remixing the proposed theme for Dr Who and I have two demo mixes already done.

I still prefer orbital's studio version though.

Today I'm off to Santa Pod to watch loads of old Ford tearing it up the strip at the Classic Ford show. Great weather for it. Cool

Ah well, the England game was a pretty tawdry affair but three vital points on the board. The Sweden/Trinidad game, by contrast, was enthralling from start to finish. Hislop, thrown into the mix at the last minute due to an unfortunate warm-up mishap, was inspirational. T&Tdeservedly got the draw playing half the game with only ten men.
I wouldn't fancy England's chances much againt either side on current form but there's always time to slip up a gear and Rooney seems to be chomping at the bit....

Hope Santa Pod was more inspiring, Graham.

I've nearly finished building a chicken coop. I'm gonna get some ex-battery hens, they give em away after four years because they're no longer economically viable. At least they'll have a happy retirement!
