very odd. In my hours of looking at various sites I remember seeing one that showed clips of loads of movies with 9/11 references. Just found it.

It's not really odd when you look at Speilberg's other films. Most of them are trying to tell us something, truth is hidden in fiction. This film was so sympathetic to the Israeli assassins it nearly made me puke, but you know that's the only way this film would have got made, and that end scene is the only reason, I believe, that Speilberg made it.

This film was made 2005 which means the towers are photo-shopped in.

The film is not set in New York and only goes there for this final scene.

Ultimately 9/11. There's more to this than George Bush.

The thing with this symbolism stuff is its "exposing the truth" to some or "rubbing our faces in it" to others (and I can recall the gravely tones of Bill Copper making that very point with the "revelation" scene in JFK set in front of the Washington needle)

However, this is also the nature of the mind, or more particularily the mind-set, becuase equally this could be "Mossads activities were a factor that caused Islamic terrorists to target New York"...I havnt seen this particular film so I cant comment further

The one thing that is certain is that nothing in any film is accidental: and especially not directed by Speilberg

A truth exposer, I would say not though
