A former senior aide to David Cameron is facing trial at Southwark crown court accused of making and possessing scores of child abuse images.

Patrick Rock, 63, who was one of the government's chief advisers on policy for online pornography filters, appeared at Westminster magistrates court in London on Thursday. He was charged with three offences of making child abuse images and one of possessing 62 indecent images of children. Crown Prosecution Service lawyers assessed the images as level C, the lowest category.

The Sunday Herald, Neil Mackay sensationally reported that senior members of Tony Blair's government were being investigated for paedophilia and the "enjoyment" of child-sex pornography:

"The Sunday Herald has also had confirmed by a very senior source in British intelligence that at least one high-profile former Labour Cabinet minister is among Operation Ore suspects. The Sunday Herald has been given the politician's name but, for legal reasons, can not identify the person.

The allegations are the most serious yet levelled at an administration that prides itself on the inclusion in its ranks of a high quota of controversial and flamboyant homosexual men, and whose First Lady, Cherie Blair, has come under the spotlight for her indulgence in pagan rituals that resemble Freemasonic rites.

A TOP aide to MPs at the House of Commons was yesterday charged with
having child porn on his computer.
Senior clerk Phillip Lyon, who arranges the weekly Prime Minister's question Time for Tony Blair, was arrested after vice cops raided his commons office.
Lyon, 37, is accused of making indecent images of children.
The dramatic raid followed a probe into an internet kiddie porn ring.
Stunned cops found the trail led straight to the heart of Government.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Clubs and Vice Obscene Publications and Internet Unit got a warrant to search the Palace of Westminster.
They seized Lyon's computer. And five days later they raided his home
in Basildon, Essex. Lyon yesterday went to London's Charing Cross police station on bail. He was charged with ten specimen counts of making indecent images of children on his computer at work.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of ten years imprisonment. Lyon
was bailed to appear at Bow Street Magistrates Court on September 10.
Police would have had to seek permission from Commons authorities,
usually the Sarjeant At Arms, before they entered the House, as they have no formal jurisdiction there.
Lyon's arrest in April followed a tip-off to the Met's vice squad from
National Crime Squad cops. A source said: "Officers were shocked when they came across a suspect in the House of Commons.
"A computer, software disks and documents were seized for examination."
Lyon is a highly trusted senior clerk to the Commons select committees.
His main duties are arranging Question Time on Wednesday afternoons. He has daily contact with senior backbench MPs and sits in on private sessions of the select committees as they cross-examine witnesses.
Lyon has a pass to the Commons guaranteeing him full access to the
building after being vetted. A Commons source said: "He was a highly respected member of the civil
staff who was implicitly trusted by colleagues and MPs."He was in a position of great responsibility. The allegations against
him are shocking."

The Sunday Times is reported to have obtained an FBI list of Labour MPs who have used credit cards to pay for internet child pornography, and Blair has responded by imposing a massive news blackout, failing however to stop the arrest of one of his most important aides, Phillip Lyon.

Two MPs are under investigation for accessing child pornography websites as part of a huge police operation that this weekend embroiled the rock star Pete Townshend.

Sources have confirmed to the Guardian that the names and credit card details of the two MPs are on a list of subscribers to a child porn internet portal sent to Scotland Yard by the US authorities.

The MPs, who are both reported to be former Labour ministers, are the latest public figures to become caught up in Operation Ore, the largest inquiry into child pornography undertaken in the UK.

The same media that is implying that Portugal is a paedophile paradise, stopped reporting Operation Ore at the request of the Blair government.

The Mail has reported on shocking news that David Cameron’s close aide, Patrick Rock, has been investigated for allegedly having images of child-abuse on a computer.

Both Cameron and Rock were, coincidentally, protoges of pervert-loving Margaret Thatcher and had worked as Spads for all round shady person Michael Howard.

There are also striking similarities with the case of Philip Lyon, who was an aide of Tony Blair:

The plot thickens.

According to the Mail:

” One of David Cameron’s closest aides has resigned after being arrested on child pornography allegations.

Patrick Rock has been closely involved in drawing up Government policy on internet porn filters.

He quit after the Prime Minister learned he was at the centre of a police probe over images of child abuse.

Detectives from the National Crime Agency searched No 10 and examined IT systems and offices used by Mr Rock, deputy director of the Downing Street policy unit.

Mr Rock was a protege of Margaret Thatcher and has held a series of senior posts in the Conservative Party. He has been close to Mr Cameron for many years.

Described as the Prime Minister’s ‘policy fixer’, the unmarried 62-year-old had been tipped as a leading contender for a Conservative peerage only weeks ago.

His arrest and resignation from Downing Street, where he has worked since 2011, will send shockwaves through the party’s high command. The Prime Minister is said to be ‘extremely shocked’.

A friend said: ‘He has known Patrick for a long time and never expected anything like this.’

Mr Rock was arrested last month after officials at No 10 were made aware of a ‘potential offence relating to child abuse imagery’, Mr Cameron’s spokesman told the Daily Mail.

One well-placed source said Mr Rock had also been the subject of a sexual harassment complaint from a civil servant working in Downing Street, which is understood to have been passed to Mr Cameron’s chief of staff Ed Llewellyn.

‘There were accusations against him that didn’t turn into a formal process. That has upset some people at No 10,’ the source said.

Mr Cameron’s relationship with Mr Rock goes back to the Home Office, where they both worked under Michael Howard in the 1990s.

Mr Rock, who has repeatedly tried to become an MP, is known in Westminster for coining the phrase ‘Cows moo, dogs bark, Labour puts up taxes’ used by the Tories in the 1970s.

The Prime Minister brought him back into Downing Street in 2011, a move welcomed by critics as heralding the return of a ‘grown up’ to the centre of government.

In the No 10 policy unit, he has taken a particular responsibility for home affairs issues and has also been involved in drawing up the Government’s measures against internet pornography and child abuse imagery.”

The report goes on to detail how Rock was once the political correspondence secretary for Margaret Thatcher.

By a strange coincidence, much of the correspondence between Thatcher and Savile has been doctored by Mi5 under the guise of the FOI act exemption clause.

The National Archives are due to release more revealing letters from 1984, under the “thirty-year rule“, which could prove extremely damaging to the Tories in the run-up to next year’s elections.

Was Patrick Rock aware of this most sordid of correspondence?

In a further twist, a mysterious fire recently broke out at the National Archives centre in Kew and there are fears that many important documents may have been destroyed.

Is Patrick Rock’s arrest linked to these events?
