Do not deport Wadih Chourey back to Lebanon:
https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/do-not-deport-wadih-chourey-vac k-to-the-lebanon-just-because-his-parents-have-died
'Please do not deport Wadih Chourey, a 44 year old man with Down's syndrome who currently lives in Twickenham, back to Beirut. He came to the United Kingdom in 1997 because his life was in danger from the various gangs operating in Beirut. He was looked after by his parents and is now being looked after by his brother.
Why is this important?
Wadih came to the United Kingdom in 1997 because his life was in danger from the various gangs operating in Beirut who were victimising him because of his Down's syndrome.
He has lived in Twickenham, London, since his arrival and was looked after by his parents and is now being looked after by his brother. He cannot cook and needs help with washing and dressing himself.
His life would be in danger on two counts: firstly he will not be able to look after himself and secondly from violence.

Just one more example of our sick, twisted, heartless Government. If he was in danger before, when he was lloked after by his family, how much more danger will he be in now, unable to feed and clothe himself, and in a virtual War Zone.
At present, his brother is looking after him; if sent back, he will be on his own, and virtually helpless. _________________ 'And he (the devil) said to him: To thee will I give all this power, and the glory of them; for to me they are delivered, and to whom I will, I give them'. Luke IV 5-7. |
