Lucky Larry slips up again...

Larry Silverstein (owner of WTC7 and eventual leaser of WTC 1 and 2): "We got the designs of the building. And the first design meeting, was in April of 2000".

He goes on to say that the reconstruction started shortly after, in 2002.

WTC7 was only 13 years old, and 9/11 did not happen before September 2001. So telling us that you started redesigning a fully occupied 13 year old building, which had a major upgrade only a few years previously, around 1.5 year before this building according to official history (NIST), fell to the ground because of a new phenomenon that had never happened before or after in world history, is crystal ball gazing even better than Nostradamus. In fact, the only reason he would be planning on a building to replace WTC7 - filled with the Mayor's Emergency Bunker, the SEC, DoD, CIA and Salmon Brothers Bankers - would be that he knew it was to be destroyed and would have the money from Insurance Companies to finance it.

I would be cautious about this information, as there is evidence that Larry Silverstein may have just misspoken here.

For example, n this article -- http://scholarship.sha.cornell.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1006&co ntext=crer -- Silverstein wrote, "We held our first design meeting for 7 World Trade Center less than a month after 9/11." (See p.5 of the pdf.)

Similarly, on p. 5 of this Silverstein Properties document -- https://www.ida-downtown.org/eweb/docs/WC13/WCPres/wtc_pres_wc13_liebe r.pdf -- it states that the "[f]irst design meeting" for the new WTC 7 was held in "late 2001."

He does have a habit of consistently mis-speaking... Rolling Eyes

Yes, this needs to be backed up with some better information.
