BBC is inviting its viewers to submit questions to Stephen Hawking. I submitted the following

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/1qCD6jwN3c6GSzY0SY7DYjH/ask-s tephen-hawking

Dear Prof Hawking

Other than as a result of something extraordinary, such as controlled demolition, I am struggling to understand how WTC7, the third skyscrapper to fall on 9/11, could collapse at free fall speed. A free fall collapse induced by office fires seems to contradict everything known about the laws of science. Can you explain this please?

Thank you

With kindest regards

Ian Neal

Nice one Ian.

Dear Prof Hawking

Whats the statistical probability that 3 World Trade Centre skyscrapers designed to withstand collapse from fires and plane impact should all collapse on the same date in the same city
