I am pretty new to this whole 9/11 malarkey – I just stumbled on it while idly surfing a couple of days ago but within minutes my mouth was agape at the number of glaring inconsistencies between the official version of events and the demonstrable evidence. However, the aspect that I find most shocking is the US government’s reluctance to dispel the doubts held by, if the figures are to be believed, some 80% of the American populace. Surely by releasing, or having independently verified, a few records (Pentagon surveillance tapes, air traffic control transcripts, etc) they could silence most of their critics and restore the confidence of the American people. The sole fact that they will not or cannot is enough to arouse my suspicions. The fact that British and other world governments are not pursuing the issue is, at best, disappointing.

It is almost 5 years since the events of 9/11 and it is heartening to see that the groundswell of suspicion and indignation over the US government’s stance is gaining rather than losing momentum. There are clearly some tenacious and clever theorists who are determined to get to the bottom of this matter. However, I believe that this theorising might well prove to be the eventual downfall of the truth movement.

I have followed the evidence of the various notable investigators (Alex Jones, Loose Change et al) and, though they present some startling and incisive questions and highlight the egregious mendacity of the US government, they all feel obliged to offer up a pet theory of what actually happened. These theories are often contrived, self-contradictory and muddy more waters than they clear. Above all I believe they are unnecessary and not at all conducive to forcing the Whitehouse to come clean. You more seasoned types will be aware of the multitude of theories out there and you will agree that they can’t all be right so it is natural for the unenlightened to infer that they are all wrong and that the “conspiracy theory” as a whole is just hot air.

If I were a US government official with something to hide I would be quite happy to keep a low profile while the various conspiracy factions outside the gates squabble about voice modulators, tail heights, thermite etc and eventually burn themselves out without ever getting anywhere near the truth.

The central theme that unites all the various theories is the handful of basic questions that the US government and the 9/11 commission have blatantly ignored. I believe that the figureheads of the truth movement should concentrate their efforts on nailing these questions to the front door of the Whitehouse. By trying to provide the answers as well the movement is getting itself in knots.

The events of 9/11 are undoubtedly the most important in post-war history and it would be an affront to both democracy and the collective will of right-thinking people if the pursuit of truth were allowed to run into the sand.

Thanks for your time

hey welcome mal.

you're quite right. we need to be pushing forward a message and arguement which involves minimal speculation. Even if it means keeping quiet about a few points which we have pretty much made our minds up on as conclusive truth.

I think the science bit is important though.
As someone summarized before: science > sociology
Steven Jones' paper on the collapse and his recent thermate discovery are surely hard evidence which should be taken seriously by our governments. we should push this.

Yeah. but stuff like the slow NORAD response, the funding of $100,000 from Mamoud Ahmed to Atta, the put options, the passport that was handed to a police officer which was apparently one of the hijackers (riduculous).. these things definately need to be pushed into the scope of mainstream media

Welcome Mal.

We are all finding each here on this website. We are all in this together.
As the frontpage of the websites says Truth unites.

I think your blog is spot on, all we need to do as LC2 emblases in your mind is:-

Ask the tough questions & demand answers

To awakem peoples minds though you did need some sort of triggering force a dvd or music.

The corporate powers that be have used the entertainment industry very effectively to maintain the matrix and status quo.

Best wishes on your own personal 911 truth quest journey Mal.
