Over-dramatize much?
The 'white supremacy' march and car attack on antifa counterprotestors at Charlottesville last week has been presented by the mainstream media as clear evidence of the endemic racism in America, particularly among Conservatives and those who voted for or support Donald Trump. There's a serious problem of racism and discrimination in America today, against Blacks, Latinos, homosexuals and transgenders, or so we're told. Something has to be done, therefore, and everyone should get behind these 'minorities' and their fight for 'equal rights'.

In this hystericized atmosphere, supposed 'representatives' of just about every other minority you can think of have jumped on the victimhood bandwagon. If you're a member of a minority and feel that you're being discriminated against, then you're actively encouraged to get out and protest about it. If you're a member of a minority group and don't feel like you're being discriminated against, then you've probably internalized and accepted the discrimination, and need to wake up and start protesting.

What all of this reveals is not so much that discrimination is rife in the USA today, but that victim-hood promises all sorts of unearned privileges and even power, so you'd be a fool not to get some while the getting is good.

But back to Charlottesville. The basic sequence of events is that a group of intellectually challenged, blowhard, would-be 'white supremacists' organized a march in the town to protest the proposed removal of a statue to Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Left wing activists organized a protest march. Pitched battles ensued and the cops mostly took the approach of standing back and letting them beat each other for a while until they inevitably had enough and went home.

But events took a deadly turn when a 'white supremacist' decided to drive his car through a group of antifa people, killing one woman and injuring several others. This was a god-send to those who would like to see social chaos spread as far and as wide as possible in the USA, because it served as 'evidence' that the tiny minority of 'white supremacists' - and the large demographic of Conservatives that supposedly support them along with 'their president - really are a deadly threat to multicultural America. In addition, it offered just cause for the radical left to push ahead with their dangerous agenda of attempting to enforce equality on everyone and wipe out discrimination of any kind.

These guys had a national army behind them

These guys have delusions of grandeur
Along with the ludicrous claims of his traitorous alignment with Russia, Trump has been demonized by Clinton and her deep state friends as a 'racist' and 'white supremacist' who enjoyed support only from like-minded 'deplorables' in the population. So events in Charlottesville also served the ongoing deep state agenda to reinforce this image and hamstring Trump's presidency and destroy any hope that he might implement policies, both at home and abroad, that might genuinely improve the lives of the majority of American people.

In short, both 'sides' in this phony debate have been further 'radicalized' by events in Charlottesville, while the crooked psychos in the deep state are only too happy to see the American people divided against each other rather than united against them.

Charlottesville Setup?

There is reason to believe that Charlottesville was a contrived 'flashpoint' to serve the goals of the 'deep state' that I have outlined above. The crassly cliched nature of the 'white supremacist' march was the first indicator of this. The images of a few hundred young white guys carrying tiki torches in a night-time procession on the campus of the University of Virginia immediately called to mind Nazi torch-lit parades of the 1930s, and that was precisely the point. This was pure propaganda, i.e. the use of loaded language and imagery to produce an emotional rather than a rational response from the public in service to a hidden agenda. In the event that some might not be swayed by the mostly comical image of the tiki-torch-bearing would-be Nazi youth, the car attack that killed one woman served to add some gravitas to the picture and drive the message home in an emotional way.

The second indicator that Charlottesville was far from the image the media has portrayed is the contrast between the tough-talking, gun-toting 'speaker' for the 'Unite the Right' march in Charlottesville - Christopher Cantwell - as seen in the Vice News documentary, and the subsequent video of him blubbering to camera and disavowing his principles simply because he thought there was a warrant out for his arrest (there wasn't). If Cantwell as leader of the protest in Charlottesville is indicative of the caliber and conviction of the best that 'white supremacy' in the USA has to offer, there is little to fear from that particular sector of society, and absolutely no reason for the left to continue in its zealotry.

The third piece of evidence that Charlotttesville is another CNN "nothing burger" can be seen in the background of the organizer of the 'Unite the Right' march, Jason Kessler. Until October 2016 when he 'came out' as a white nationalist, Kessler had been an Obama supporter. Further evidence of his liberal pedigree is found in the fact that, at a speech in favor of Charlottesville's status as a sanctuary city in February this year, Kessler live-streamed himself while an attendee questioned him about his past involvement with the Occupy Wall Street movement.

In November 2015, Kessler wrote on his blog:
"I consider myself a free speech, pro-abortion, anti-affirmative action, environmentalist, non-interventionist, anti-Cultural Marxist, vegetarian, pro-equality atheist who has close Muslim friends but also recognizes the existential threat of Radical Islam & who recognizes the value immigrants bring to the United States but also recognizes the importance of entering the country legally."
In December 2015, Kessler also wrote on his blog:
"I can't think of any occupation that I admire more than the professional provocateur, who has the courage & self-determination to court controversy despite all slings & arrows of the world."
One last suggestive piece of evidence: the possible presence of FBI informants at the Charlottesville rallies. On both sides. FBI infiltration of far-right, white supremacist groups is a well-known and long-standing reality. But, according to True Pundit, they have also infiltrated antifa - a no-brainer for anyone with a passing knowledge of the FBI and "homegrown" extremist groups.

Given the last few years of political turmoil, we can all understand that someone might have a change of political heart. Having spent most of my adult life holding nominally 'leftist' views, today I find myself fitting more of a 'right' profile (although such simplistic monikers are almost meaningless these days). But I find it hard to believe that an Obama supporter and advocate of abortion, equality and immigration, with close Muslim friends, could honestly transform himself into the point-man at a far right-wing, torch-lit, Nazi march in less than a year.

Then again, why should any of us be surprised that this kind of insidious (if asinine) propaganda is being used to manipulate public perception? Why should any of us think that the people who brought us the Saddam WMD hoax which launched a foreign war would not use the same tactics to try to sow social chaos and division at home, if it served their purposes? Whatever your opinion on this issue, there is one rule that applies to all and is good for all: don't enter the mass hysteria bubble, ever.

Why Was This 'Crowd Hire' Company Recruiting $25 An Hour 'Political Activists' In Charlotte Last Week?

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-16/why-was-crowd-hire-company-re cruiting-25-hour-political-activists-charlotte-last-wee

Trump ignited a political firestorm yesterday during an impromptu press conference in which he said there was "blame on both sides" for the tragic events that occurred in Charlottesville over the weekend.

Now, the discovery of a craigslist ad posted last Monday, almost a full week before the Charlottesville protests, is raising new questions over whether paid protesters were sourced by a Los Angeles based "public relations firm specializing in innovative events" to serve as agitators in counterprotests.

The ad was posted by a company called "Crowds on Demand" and offered $25 per hour to "actors and photographers" to participate in events in the "Charlotte, NC area." While the ad didn't explicitly define a role to be filled by its crowd of "actors and photographers" it did ask applicants to comment on whether they were "ok with participating in peaceful protests." Here is the text from the ad:

Actors and Photographers Wanted in Charlotte

Crowds on Demand, a Los Angeles-based Public Relations firm specializing in innovative events, is looking for enthusiastic actors and photographers in the Charlotte, NC area to participate in our events. Our events include everything from rallies to protests to corporate PR stunts to celebrity scenes. The biggest qualification is enthusiasm, a "can-do" spirit. Pay will vary by event but typically is $25+ per hour plus reimbursements for gas/parking/Uber/public transit.

For more information about us, please visit www.crowdsondemand.com

If you're interested in working with us, please reply to this posting with the following info:
Full Name
Prior relevant experience (as an actor/performer, photographer, brand ambassador, political activist, etc)
When are you usually available for work?
Resume (optional)
If you're a photographer, what equipment do you use?
Are you ok with participating in peaceful protests (optional)?
And a screenshot of the original post:

Craigslist

So what is "Crowds on Demand?" According to their own website, they're in the business of sourcing large crowds of people to "provide clients with protests, rallies, [and] flash-mobs" all over the country. They even have an entire page on their website dedicated to "Protests and Rallies."

Are you looking to create a buzz anywhere in the United States? At Crowds on Demand, we provide our clients with protests, rallies, flash-mobs, paparazzi events and other inventive PR stunts. These services are available across the country in every major U.S city, every major U.S metro area and even most smaller cities as well. We provide everything including the people, the materials and even the ideas. You can come to us with a specific plan of action and we can make it happen. OR, you can approach us with a general idea and we can help you plan the strategy then execute it.

We’ve made campaigns involving hundreds of people come to action in just days. We have a proven record of delivering major wins on even the toughest campaigns and delivering phenomenal experiences with even the most logistically challenging events.
The CEO of Crowds on Demand denied to Snopes that his firm was involved in the Charlottesville protests but refused to provide details on the specific purpose of the craigslist ad and/or why it was temporarily removed yesterday before being restored.

"We were not involved in any capacity with the recent tragic events in Charlottesville, Virginia. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those impacted by the violence"
Silly question, but if your cause is worthy of protest then why would you need to pay $25 per hour to get people to show up?

Authored by James Howard Kunstler via Kunstler.com,

First they came for the statues….

What do you know, long about Wednesday, August 16, 2017, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal) discovered that the United States Capitol building was infested with statues of Confederate dignitaries. Thirty years walking those marbled halls and she just noticed?

Her startled announcement perked up Senator Cory Booker (D- NJ) who has been navigating those same halls only a few years. He quickly introduced a bill to blackball the offending statues.

ACLU confirms Charlottesville police told to 'stand down', did nothing to stop the ensuing chaos
https://www.sott.net/article/359149-ACLU-confirms-Charlottesville-poli ce-told-to-stand-down-did-nothing-to-stop-the-ensuing-chaos
Matt Agorist The Free Thought Project Sun, 13 Aug 2017 00:00 UTC

The ACLU confirmed late Saturday that police were given stand-down orders in Charlottesville. This invited violence and only fueled the chaos.
The events that unfolded in Charlottesville, Virginia this Saturday were tragic, hateful, insidious, and even deadly. Saturday will go down in history as the day America's hate reared its ugly face and proved to the world that this country is being divided - to be conquered. Adding fuel to the fire of hatred and violence were politicians who told police not to intervene and allowed the unchecked carnage to unfold before their eyes.

The stand down was confirmed by the ACLU who quoted a police source saying, "We'll not intervene until given command to do so."

This command never came.

There is no shortage of violent footage of clashes between neo-nazi white supremacists and counter protesters from Antifa and the like. Multiple violent battles raged on for several minutes as blood spilled onto the streets of this college town. Only several feet away were police officers - who did nothing to stop it.

As ProPublica reports:
It was a scene that played out over and over in Charlottesville as law enforcement confronted the largest public gathering of white supremacists in decades. We walked the streets beginning in the early morning hours and repeatedly witnessed instances in which authorities took a largely laissez faire approach, allowing white supremacists and counter-protesters to physically battle.

Officials in Charlottesville had publicly promised to maintain control of the "Unite the Right" rally, which is the latest in a series of chaotic and bloody racist rallies that have roiled this college town, a place deeply proud of its links to Thomas Jefferson and the origins of American Democracy.

But the white supremacists who flooded into the city's Emancipation Park - a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee sits in the center of the park - had spent months openly planning for war. The Daily Stormer, a popular neo-Nazi website, encouraged rally attendees to bring shields, pepper spray, and fascist flags and flagpoles. A prominent racist podcast told its listeners to come carrying guns. "Bring whatever you need, that you feel you need for your self defense. Do what you need to do for security of your own person," said Mike "Enoch" Peinovich on The Right Stuff podcast.

And the white supremacists who showed up in Charlottesville did indeed come prepared for violence. Many wore helmets and carried clubs, medieval-looking round wooden shields, and rectangular plexiglass shields, similar to those used by riot police.

Clad in a black, Nazi-style helmet, Matthew Heimbach told ProPublica, "We're defending our heritage." Heimbach, who heads the Traditionalist Workers Party, a self-declared fascist group, said he was willing to die for his cause and would do whatever it took to defend himself. He was surrounded by a brigade of white supremacists, including members of the League of the South and the National Socialist Movement.
Several members of the militia - armed with AR-15s and who appeared to be neutral in the fight - were recorded on multiple occasions attempting to keep the peace by breaking up fights and tending to the wounded. Their actions proved far more effective than the inaction of the police.

The only thing police seemed to be instructed to do was to break up the lawful assembly which only seemed to add fuel to the violent fire that was stoked throughout the day.

According to ProPublica, Charlottesville Vice Mayor Wes Bellamy defended the police tactics, noting "I'm not in the business of throwing our police department under the bus, because they're doing the best job they can, " said Bellamy. "I don't think the police officers were just twiddling their thumbs."

While policing violent crowds, like the ones in Charlottesville on Saturday, is no easy job, we've seen police across the country move in and act in situations far less chaotic.

Whatever the reason police were told to stand down, the result of their inaction was the same. Whether deliberate or not, Saturday's police response served to fuel the already exponentially growing divide.

If ever there were time to call for peace in this country - it is now. The rapid growth of Antifa and the white supremacists illustrates the polarizing effects the divide and conquer tactics being pushed the state and media are having.

We must realize that as long as the citizens keep fighting amongst each other, the behemoth state will continue to usurp our freedoms, rob us, divide us, and control us to the point of complete despotism or civil war.
In the 16th century, [Niccolò] Machiavelli - in an attempt to get back in the good graces of the powerful - wrote a slim volume called The Prince. In that book he showed the powers that be how to control the people. That book is a statement: separate and rule, divide and conquer. That's five hundred years ago and it still works, because we allow ourselves to be lead around with holes through our noses. -Maya Angelou

Comment: It's beginning to look like those who are inciting the next 'color revolution' within the U.S. are being given free rein to do so by the PTB.

Celebrations turn tense in Bay Area after right-wing rallies cancelled

People in Berkeley and San Francisco for the most part celebrated the cancellation of two right-wing rallies until a gathering turned tense in Berkeley on Sunday afternoon.

The Oregon-based group Patriot Prayer had been granted a permit by the National Park Service to hold a rally at 2 p.m. PST at Crissy Field in San Francisco on Saturday, under the conditions they did not wear helmets nor bring guns or anything else resembling weapons. Counter-protesters had also obtained three permits and planned two other rallies at the city’s Civic Center and in the Castro neighborhood.

And a woman had organized a “No to Marxism in America” rally in Berkeley’s Civic Center Park for Sunday, despite the city’s denial of a permit.

But on Friday evening, Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson said on Facebook that he was changing the rally’s location to Alamo Square and that it would instead be a news conference. After local law enforcement Saturday morning fenced and closed Alamo Square, turning people away, Gibson told the NewsHour Weekend that he would instead hold the news conference indoors and then pop up throughout the city to talk to residents.

And Amber Cummings, who had organized Berkeley’s rally, also canceled the event in Berkeley on Sunday, citing fear for everyone’s safety.

Still, hundreds of counter protesters showed up to the various rallies, some in vibrant costumes, with music and bubbles and signs, relishing what they saw as a success.

Hina Shah, an immigration lawyer, was having a picnic with her two children in San Francisco’s Civic Center on Saturday when she told KQED, “This is about us as people of color … We can’t stand by and do nothing.”

The scene was similar in Berkeley on Sunday morning local time, with left-wing protesters far outnumbering the right, but grew tense in the afternoon. Police were patting people down and checking their bags for items such as baseball caps, weapons or masks as they funneled into the park. Arguments began to escalate with physical contact, but police broke them up quickly.

Leading San Francisco officials including Mayor Ed Lee, House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi and state Sen. Scott Wiener had originally urged the National Park Service not to issue the permit for the rally, denouncing it as potentially violent.

When Gibson changed the plans at the last minute, Lee said he did not trust the group.

“We don’t trust this group. I never have from the beginning,” he told the Associated Press.

And while Gibson maintains that the group is promoting freedom of speech, not violence, nor is it flagged by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups, its reputation has been tainted by past events in Portland.

In June, a two-hour “Freedom March” at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland during a blues festival provoked fights.

Gibson has since denounced white supremacy and violence at his rallies, asking people looking for a fight not to come and then stating that he changed locations out of fear for people’s safety. But he also told the NewsHour Weekend that he agrees with a remark that President Donald Trump made, that “both sides” are to blame for violence, which is a message that has been celebrated by neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

“I agree with the fact that it is [extremists on] both sides that are to blame, absolutely. I think that’s just wisdom,” he said.

And Wiener issued a statement on Friday, saying that Patriot Prayer’s efforts to move the rally to an unpermitted, less secure location reinforced its reputation for encouraging violence.

“Patriot Prayer is not interested in simply exercising free speech. Rather, Patriot Prayer wants to create a volatile, chaotic, violent tinderbox.”

"Unite the Right" Organizer's Left-wing Roots Exposed by Leftist Publication

"Unite the Right" Organizer's Left-wing Roots Exposed by Leftist Publication
According to a report by the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), Jason Kessler, the organizer behind the “Unite the Right” event in Charlottesville, Virginia, that turned violent was a member of the Occupy Wall Street movement and an Obama supporter.

SPLC writes, “Rumors abound on white nationalist forums that Kessler’s ideological pedigree before 2016 was less than pure and seem to point to involvement in the Occupy movement and past support for President Obama.”

Right Wing News also notes Kessler’s left-wing background, reporting that he accepted a $1,300 consulting fee from a Democratic candidate running for the Senate in 2012. According to Right Wing News, Kessler is also pro-abortion and an environmentalist. WND observes that he was also pro-gun control and supported President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran and other leftist causes, as evidenced by 2012 and 2013 tweets from Kessler. One of his tweets even compared Republicans to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

A January 26, 2012 tweet by Kessler posted by Nation One News stated: “Republicans in #cnndebate are grotesquely mesmerizing as an interview w/ a serial killer. @ least Dahmer couldnt wage war or starve poor ppl.”

This is no small revelation by any means. The Occupy Wall Street movement was a radical Marxist movement that has paved the way for a self-avowed socialist such as Bernie Sanders to be taken seriously as a presidential contender. It normalized Marxism so that Marxist terminology has made its way into mainstream political conversation and is arguably the roots of the rabid "social justice" movement we see today.

Some are now pointing to this revelation as evidence that Kessler is perhaps a “plant” and that his efforts have been part of a greater plan to “pit Americans against each other.”

If that is true, then Kessler has been highly successful as his Unite the Right event protest turned violent when members of the protest clashed with Antifa counter-protesters, ultimately resulting in the death of a 32-year-old woman.

In addition to creating further animosity amongst Americans, the events in Charlottesville have prompted members of the Left to call for a further erosion of individual liberties. Black Live Matter founder Patrisse Cullors is now using the events to underscore her belief that the U.S. Constitution does not protect the free speech of white supremacists. Of course, this is untrue, as there is no “hate speech” exception to the First Amendment. In fact, if the First Amendment protected only speech that was deemed acceptable, what would be the point of the amendment?

MSNBC's Katy Tur attempted to compare the speech and actions of the white supremacists to those of members of the BLM movement and claimed that while white nationalists are “fighting to take away people’s rights,” the BLM movement is “fighting for equality.”

This is the problem with the notion of a “hate speech” exception. It rests heavily on perception and subjectivism. There are many people who would disagree with Tur that BLM is simply a movement that is fighting for equality. Like Occupy Wall Street, BLM is a Marxist movement that advocates for radical social justice initiatives that mark a complete break from the U.S. Constitution. Much of the speech that has come out of the Black Lives Matter movement has been perceived as hate speech by the organization’s critics. People in the BLM movement have openly advocated for killing police officers, as well as white people in general. The fact that the mainstream media has chosen to focus on just the racism within the white supremacist groups and not that of BLM or Antifa further underscores its bias.

In addition to critics now advocating for white supremacists to lose their First Amendment rights, a Twitter account is now outing Charlottesville protesters. Twitter users are then advocating for the individuals exposed to either lose their jobs or to be expelled from their universities simply because they were one of the protesters, even if they were not the ones engaged in violent behavior. This behavior — applauded by Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence — sets a dangerous precedent.

So indeed, if Kessler is a plant, he has been effective. But if he is genuine in his alt-right agenda, however, it certainly disproves what the mainstream media has been contending about the alt-right movement: that it is some sort of offshoot of conservatism and that the alt-right and the Right are interchangeable.

Conservatives have made every effort to differentiate themselves from the alt-right movement. Dan Schneider, executive director of the American Conservative Union, observed at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, “There is a sinister organization that is trying to worm its way into our ranks. We must not be duped. We must not be deceived…. They are nothing but garden-variety left-wing fascists.” Kessler is proof of this.

Kessler has denied that he is a “secret liberal” following the SPLC report. He has also previously admitted on Twitter to being a liberal who was "red pilled" — meaning brought back to reality — after he saw how the media was instigating the riots in Baltimore. But according to Nation One News, an advanced search of his tweets showed just one in which he blamed NPR for instigating the Baltimore riots, and it was sent one month after his alleged change of heart.
