British Caught Red-Handed in False Flag Operation

Not a new event but good to keep in mind, remember the news report a while back about the British army and a tank attacking an Iraqi police station to free 2 'special ops' personel? Several iraqi were killed, including policemen, why is it American soldiers who are proved to have killed civilians in cold blood go to a military tribunal, (just propaganda court cases I know, but at least a precedent of some sort) yet the British soldiers seemed to have got away with this one without further mention.
