Hannity & Colmes unexpectedly to the rescue

I've been following the last few videos of 9/11 'truthers' on Hannity & Colmes recently and started to wonder why they are having so many of them on - Fetzer, Barrett, Bowman - in quick succession.

I was already starting to think that they might actually by sympathetic to the subject and be using their 'trashing' style as cover for themselves while they start to expose the people and arguments involved (whether conscious or not, thats what they're doing).

Then tonight Alan Colmes made a very strangely worded comment in his cross examination of Bowman. He said "... wait a minute, are you seriously suggesting that 19 arabs with box cutters is a conspiracy theory ?". He used the exact same wording as 9/11 'truthers' do when trying to put this line across (always including the 'box cutters' phrase) and the way it came out was a tiny bit theatrical, as if he was spelling out for his audience that is 'was indeed' a conspiracy theory and 'didn't they get it'.

Whether I'm reading too much into it or not, they seem to be doing a great job in making many of these arguments public and I can't help thinking it might be deliberate. Breakthroughs usually come from the least likeliest of sources and this might be way to make it public while going un-noticed by censoring editors and poiticians

It's interesting to see the reaction of various t.v. hosts to the "inside job" theory discussed on their programmes.

When Alex Jones appeared on MTV discussing Charlie Sheen's comments. The host listened patiently as if willing to engage the idea as did the audience. At the end he tried to make light of the whole thing to disassociate himself with his "thats-so-whacky" body language! This was totally at odds with the studio reaction I think that's very telling.

People know that somethings wrong, they are willing to be a conduit for the idea but are frightened to put their neck on the line by displaying their true oppinion. I am not convinced that they really believe the idea of an "inside job" is so absurd.

The audience reaction! They seemed spellbound and/or terrified. People aren't laughing anymore....
