I listened to this programme with interest - my father was an officer in the Royal Marine Commandos and was in Jerusalem when the King David's Hotel was blown up by Zionist terrorist ' freedom fighters' killing over 90 innocent men and women. The Irgun and Stern gangs used the same tactics as the PLO did later on....so to listen to the Israeli Government adopting such a holier than thou approach to Hamas and Hezbollah just sticks in your throat. The Zionist State of Israel was founded on the tactics of appalling indiscriminate violence and terrorism and it is hardly surprising that decent othodox Jews abhor and reject the State of Israel and everything it stands for. The simple truth is that BOTH sides have got the blood of innocents on their hands.......and BOTH sides should turn to the teachings of the Mahatma Gandhi - but that takes courage and that is a commodity that is lacking on BOTH sides at the moment. _________________ Connect to Infinite Consciousness - enjoy the ride! |

Oh please - the world needs less religion - not more!
Gandhi was a nasty, bigoted little man, whose legacy is promoted either by well meaning idiots (who don't realise what a religious fanatic he was) or people who, but don't care. |

To talk about the aspirations of Gandhi is to talk about a way of life where we don't knock seven bags out s..t out of each other. We use Gandhi as an example of how to use non-violent direct action to achieve political and social goals without harming anybody.
As regards religion, I abhor religions as much as you obviously do because IMHO they were established by the elite of the time (early version of the Illuminati/Mystery Schools etc.) to spread fear and to control people (and still do) to stop them from finding out about the spiritual truths that unite us all. Gandhi, whilst a practising Hindu, held out his hand in peace and friendship to the Muslims and Christians - he was not a perfect man by any means, none of us are, but he is still a pretty good role model to aspire to. _________________ Connect to Infinite Consciousness - enjoy the ride! |
