It's not about 9/11 but it disgusted me enough to post it. This is the ugly face of the American Right-wing.

Egged on by substitute host Steve Doocy (or Doocey as the chyron spelled it at one point), the audience literally laughed at the suffering of Lebanese civilians caught between Hezbollah and Israeli bombs.
Doocy was interviewing Tania Mehanna, a senior war correspondent for Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, when he chided Lebanese civilians for not standing up to Hezbollah fighters whom he said are positioning rockets in front of their homes. 'I think I'd be angry as Hezbollah," Doocy said.

Later, a man in the audience claimed that Arabs have made up the idea that Israel is bombing Lebanon.

He's being sarcastic.
The audience laughter was nonsense, though. But it's nothing new, American reporters cracked up a few years ago when Rumsfeld made a sick joke. |

To my astonishment last night on CNN a written message appeared at the bottom of the screen saying that a new opinion poll has measured that 60% of Americans are now opposed to the war in Iraq. Did anyone else see it?
Let's not get drawn into anti-Americanism. The US public hold the key to ending this War on Terror and they need encouragement. |
