According to an article in today's Daily Express, "Ten minutes before 10.00 am, 50 minutes after the south tower had been hit, molten aluminium poured from a window on the corner of the 80th floor. The plane was melting"

Aluminium burns, which can melt some of itself. Look for white smoke.
The aluminiun of an aircraft often burns away in a crash that catches fire.
