kbo234.
Did you see passengers at Heathrow after it was announced that certain substances were prohibited, pouring all these bottles of volatile, unstable mixtures all into one bin! |

yes i saw that to, its amazing how they would risk the lives of passengers and to think they stepped up to the maxium secruity risk and forgot to remember how these explosives are very unstable so just emptied the possible liquids of these bombs in to a bin mixing them all together. its obvious to me even more now that the news is no longer a credible source of information as they fail to tell us the truths or just ignore important facts, they dont give us the whole picture anymore. or did they ever i dont know. |

My girlfriend and I have just flown back to the UK from a holiday. I flew out before the 'terror plot' started but my girlfriend flew out a week later on friday the 11th, the day after all of the beefed up security.
What I dont understand is why they have banned all liquids etc yet when you go through security all of the duty free is open. You can buy all of the banned substances and then carry them onto the plane. Surley if the threat was real they would have to close the duty free?
On our arrival back to stanstead I asked an airport official how this was possible. Do the airports check every delivery of liquids coming in? Do they check all of the staff who work in duty free to see if they are bringing anything in to give to a passenger to take on board?
The answer was NO.
So I asked why we were being told not to take anything through when one of the staff/delivery drivers could easily breach the security and pass the 'bomb making equipment' to somebody boarding a plane?
His answer was ' I dont know but I'm sure all is being done to keep everybody safe'
For safe please read scared. |
