Hi,
this is very clearly showing how E4 ??? are putting voice mikes, and microphones out of action when bands are clearly about to,or are/maybe going to speak about "issues".
I think everyone there knows the "issues", but the viewing audience on E4 may not.
So if your having trouble persuading someone in your living room about what's going on.You could put E4 on and show how the voices are
strangely quiet |

This festival is sponsored (makes cash for) by Virgin/Richard Branson, is it not? _________________ Free your Self and Free the World |

I just took a look at this. Is this 100% live? It looks a bit odd to me. I just watched Faithless' drummer battering his skins in near silence. As the lyrics to Insomnia began, the mics fell silent so I checked the lyrics. The first few lines go:
Yeah I only smoke weed when I need to
And I need to get some rest where's the sex
I confess I burned a hole in the mattress
yes yes it was me I plead guilty
And at the count of three I pull back the duvet
Make my way to the refrigerator
One dry potata inside, no lie
Not even bread, jam
When the light above my head went BAM (bam bam)
I can't sleep, something's all over me greasy
Insomnia please release me and let me dream about
Makin' mad love on the heath
Tearin' off tights with my teeth
But there's no relief, I'm wide awake
In my kitchen, it's black and I'm lonely
Oh if I could only get some sleep
Creaky noises make my skin creep
I need to get some sleep
I can't get no sleep
Maybe the censorship isn't purely political, maybe they are a bit sensitive about little people, as Gay Byrne used to euphemistically call them, hearing naughty things.
As I type the vocals fell silent again during the next song whose title escaped me.
This is not live, methinks. |

Around 7 to 7.30 there were bands being interviewed and even some of their words were silent.
And one of the singers in one of the bands said something like "we know the issue, even if they can't hear it"
I can assure y'all it was political ,and not expletives being censored. I do find the idea rather quaint that in the 21st century
the management would fear a few expletives that may upset Mr and Mrs
Public and their kids, no doubt this will be the excuse used in the press
