But now I think about it.... maybe he's annoucning Bush's conversion to islam, or even the decision to disband the US military - Have to wait and see

I hope you are not being overly optimistic regarding it being something so benign and inconsequential. That field full of coffins posted in another thread may - or, if I'm not determinedly looking on the bright side - may not be normal disaster preparedness.

I'll take a hint from Webster Tarpley and try to find out what 'drills' are being run in October/November.

An NBC attack? I hope that's just the pessimist in me, but they've had great success with disasters in the past and it's pull-out-all-the-stops time.

Really hope I'm wrong but it looks to me like they are gearing up for Iran so I would guess that if there is an 'October Surprise' is likely to be something that provides the excuse for an attack. The apparent death or capture of Bin Laden would not offer that.

I don't think it will happen yet maybe spring 2007 but I think the next target in the UK will be the channel tunnel.
Its a major finacial white elephant and would be an ideal target as access to the scene for a full investigation would be almost impossible.
There was a closure a few weeks ago due to a fire that was not widely reported on.

The timing i would guess would be to extend Mr Blairs time in office with the cry "how could i leave now when i'm needed by my country" ringing in the ears.

OK its pure speculation, but i would welcome any opinions and alternative theories.

Netanyahu's recent confidence that he will be top dog again soon has made me wonder if maybe we'll see some sort of false flag thing in Israel. I hadn't thought of the channel tunnel as being a future target. Interesting and worrying idea.

bbc news reported today(although i dont remember their source ie intellegance ect.) that al-qeada might be planning a chemical or nuclear attack on an american base in iraq. so i hate to say it but from all the theories or information gathered around various threads it does seem like there planning an attack no doubt to justify the iran war. and as said above proberbly to justify blair staying longer to make sure their plans are done with regards to iran, and it will be nuclear or chemical as the bbc suggest. however misinformation about the target would give them an excuse for not preventing it. so dont believe anything you hear about targets we can never be certain, remember these people work to create maximum fear. if they had a suggestion of target they would have no excuse for not preventing it, they dont want another 9/11 farce where it is obvious the u.s goverment had intellegance of the attack even though they might not of known when and then have people asking why they didnt stop it. this is obviously the lenghts they will go to justify war and scare the waking public into denial again because if we were right then howcome this happened they will say.
