Hi all
First post,newbie from Scotland here.
I went to see the new Oliver Stone movie "World trade Centre" last night, was kind of hoping Stone would stick to form and have a bit of controversy (perhaps the TRUTH of the subject is too scary to address for even him??) sadly,the film is an interesting and gripping "feel good" movie, but, i did notice in the script perhaps a couple of hints toward the truth (perhaps the US Govt employed censors missed them??) some veiled hints by characters of the buildings being brought down by explosives, and a real cheeky line by one of the PAPD cops, listening to a radio,saying,"they say the Pentagon has been hit, by a MISSILE or something"
Anyone else seen the movie yet??

Yes, but I got a copy off the peer to peer networks so it lacked the impact that it probably had on the big screen.
It was well made if not predictable, with the obvious problem you knew what was going to happen pretty much from start to finish. Special effects were good, but I admit to being more fascinated by Mr Cage's hair than any story line. I felt it was far removed from actuality and was just another disaster movie with no real connection to 'the day'.

I haven't seen it yet, but I have to admit I'm intrigued as to why Stone has played it so straight, given his previous assaults on the soft underbelly of American society. |

Yes, not really true to his form, perhaps "persuaded" of the folly of intimating the truth?? To be fair, in his previous politically motivated movies,the subject has been tame compared to the fact of dubya being guilty of genocide! |
