under 'The Clean Neighbourhood And Envirnoment Act 2005' leafleting in Nottingham town centre is now illegal and it could be the same all over the UK.

this makes nottingham clean at last, clean from political dissent at least!

when I was handing out flyers on a train a ticket inspector tried to make me wait in his booth so he could call to arrange for police to intercept me at the next station

Who's seen Nottingham centre streets at 8am in the morning? The city has opened huge bars/pubs/clubs and given out licenses like smart-E's. You can't move for chip wrappers, used condoms and smashed glass.

Of course - the booze industry aka local council is good at hypocrisy.
