Hello,
That leaflet was produced by our campaign. The Metropolitan police announced the 07.40 as the train time in a press conference in the days just after the London bombings.
The Official Report also stated this as the train the men caught. On 11th July this year John Reid stated to the House:
"The official account that we provided to the House states that the train on which the bombers travelled left Luton station at 7.40 am. The police have now told us that that is incorrect"
The police then stated that they never gave that time to the Home Office in the first place. Which firstly contradicts the information given in the press conference, and secondly begs the question of where exactly the Home Office did obtain the train time for their Official Report. For more information about the train times please see here. |
