Raises some 9/11 issues while mocking them.
Hopefully will make people research themselves but since 9/11 truth is going mainstream now this looks like an attempt to laugh it off. _________________ The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing |

Yes I agree, but how many people will now discuss what was not discussed before? |

Well I have to disagree with you guys and say that this is a bit of excellent coverage. This is basicaaly a whole episode with a central theme of 9/11. These guys have to tread carefully too - and I think they trod a very well chosen line.
Lots of stuff came out that didn't need to, as for a piss-take - what do you expect from South Park?

Isn't 'Southpark' a product of the 'Fox stable'? It's hard to know where they're coming from, have they taken the Murdoch 'shilling'? Did anyone get the message from Fox's 'Team America'? why have they wasted all the comedy potential of all those OBL "911? Idunnit"videos??? |

The deeper message of the episode was that a lot of 9/11 conspiracy stuff is coming out of the government: we all know theres a fair amount of suspicion of that throughout "the movement" and we mostly keep our mouths shut about making unsubstantiated allegations. Theres truth in there though. The physical events are what points to the truth IMO
The comedy (well satire i suppose to be more exact) wasnt exactly kind to anybody, but it put out certain key points from quite a few characters before lurching to obvious fruit-loop: the contrast will stand out with the audience
And whichever way you look at the plot, it pulled no punches with the Bush administration (first the reveal was that they did pull off 9/11, second it was they behind the conspiracy to pull of the conspiracy: firmly downed on either way)
and the Cheney gag was a cracker _________________ Free your Self and Free the World |

For me the key points are:
www.911truth.org being shown throughout (they did an episode called Wing where they flashed http://wingmusic.co.nz/ at the end - her hits went through the roof)
Bush giving a very concise version of "what really happened"...
They pointed out 2 major flaws in the official story, ie. melting point of steel and lack of plane debris at the pentagon.
When the story came back on itself to say that the govt were responsible for the conspiracy to make people believe they controlled everything. The "truth" as they gave it was "it was a bunch of pissed off muslims". Bascially belittling the entire official story.
This has to be a good thing IMO, it will turn a lot of people onto it, I will be keeping an eye on the controversy that is inevitably going to surround Matt and Trey after this.

While appearing at the end to be debunking this episode has everything going for it. A very important event in the history of this favourite cartoon of me and my kids
In the end a typical fence-sitting presentation, but better than anything the official media has presented up to now _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction |

You can sleep easy fellow truthers. This particular episode of South Park is just another example of how one airs a powerful yet controverisal idea. You allow it to be 'defeated' by an implausible one.
David Hume, the Scottish Enlightenment philosopher used exactly this device in his dialogues on the existence of God. In these, he put forward a philsophical case that asserted that God's existence could not be established by reason ('radical scepticism' or 'agnosticism' as it is better known today). He then allowed his case to be 'demolished' by presumptive theistic arguments. This had to be done to ensure publication.

of course, comedy is major and little used weapon in our armoury.
it was the only way you could dissent in many communist countries.
you can say pretty much anything in a joke, which makes me wonder why other comdians haven't touched the issue.
surely 911 doesn't seem so taboo now a reliable study has confirmed 655,000 iraqis dead as a result of the war. _________________ Have No Fear! Peace, Love & Hemp is here!

first they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they attack you, then you win!
we've definately been ignored, ridiculed and attacked.
i think we're in the latter stages of being attacked and ridiculed.
we're about to win! _________________ Have No Fear! Peace, Love & Hemp is here!

Why are so many people "groan groan" when you raise the subject of the 9/11 truth? I blindman can see that the official story is a 'crock'. Could it be there's something in the water and a percentage are immune to it? |

I suppose it is good that it will get more people talking about it but the whole 'conspiracy theorists are retards' thing got to me a bit. Looks like they forgot the official theory is a conspiracy theory. |

aspartame, msg, fluoride, emf & other pollutants are definitely partly to blame for people's inability to think clearly. _________________ Have No Fear! Peace, Love & Hemp is here!
