Many respected senior members of the U.S. military, intelligence services, and government have expressed significant criticism of the 9/11 Commission Report. Some even allege government complicity in the terrible acts of 9/11. PS frm Keith: Incidentally I see David Shayler is listed, and (poorly?) quoted as follows:
"The available evidence indicates that people in key positions in the FBI, the State Department, the CIA and so on were not loyal to the Constitution; that they saw an opportunity in plans laid down by genuine Islamic terrorists to carry out an operation that would shock the world and would therefore justify U.S. adventurism in the middle East, particularly in Afghanistan and Iraq." [this may be an old quote, or out of context?]

I disagree with this LIHOP-sounding analysis. I think that the rogue CIA etc networks have been egging 'Islamists' on to attack it since at least 1993 WTC and since Bojinka, so how independent the plans (fantasies?) to attack the WTC with planes really were is highly doubtful. In the current context of rampant Islamophobia I think many of us will want to argue that the whole thing was MIHOP, with varying degrees of directness and indirectness, the latter having some use for 'radical' Muslims as drawn in/egged on patsies.
