|
|
It appers that the new anti-9/11 site has used the term cult to describe all and sundry on here. That indeed may be the case. That those who participate on here are members of a ...cult. That would aplly if there was a leader, the organisation expelled members or asked members for financial donations every week. So far the use of the term cult doesn't apply if no organisation exists unless we have a new definition for it I haven't come across.
The media have used the term cult to define left wing groups, religious sects.
The group which is now calling the 9/11 movement a cult would have to pinpoint a central leadership, money raising, expulsions, bankruptcy of members, threats to members and ex-members to describe how they lived in a 'cult'.
All the above have occurred with the Scientology (some say CIA front) movement or the Jonestown massacre in the 1970's where mass suicide occurred as with the case of the Waco cult. The term is an american term of abuse to anyone or anybody who has a different take on anything.
Why it is currently being used?
Maybe it has something to do with Morgans new book on FLIGHT 93 where he uses the term CULT referring to the BIG LIE.
An improper use of the term denigrates whatever argument someone has as it basically defines political opponents as... nutters.
Most people were on the scene of 9/11 prior both to this web site, O'Haras interest and Shaylers.
To define people as cultists under those circumstances has as the aim not an honest critique of other peoples positions but to barricade ones own followers in pre-defined positions that 9/11 wasn't an operation mired in contradictions lies and hubris, but exactly as stated in its multiple versions by the Bush regime... |

Everyone to a degree is 'mental'.
I try to avoid using those definitions as they dont help clarifying issues or points.
Why is Heidi 'mental'? |
