The outer columns formed 40% of the buildings vertical strength
The core columns the remainder.

I dont know if thats thermite but the exterior walls WERE very critical to the strength of the building.

I wonder if someone could simply encapsulate what the thermite/thermate advocates believe here;

Is it assumed that there were multiple thermite/thermate sites on all four sides of the building that were triggered simultaneously, all the main supports then failing at the same moment? Then as the upper section of the building collapsed, charges designed to take out the lower supporting structures were detonated automatically?

I can't quite get a clear picture of how this is supposed to have happened bearing in mind the location of the supposed 'thermite' is very close to the plane's impact site which obviously could easily have destroyed any planted charges.

I am not saying it didn't happen, I just don't quite get the event syntax.

I think the important point to remember here is that Jones does NOT STATE that the buildings were brought down with 100% thermite.

He states that it would have been in COMBINATION with conventional explosives (such as RDX).

This does not make him right naturally but lets start off on the right foot here so to speak.

The main 'problem' stated by critics of Jones is "how does thermite pulverize concrete". Its a very good question; the answer is it DOESNT and Jones never claimed it could or would do so.

He has simply looked at evidence (moulten metal etc) and tried to ascertain how it has come to exist. His theory FOR THE MOULTEN METAL is thermite, this isnt NOR every has been his theory for some global all encoumpasing theory of the destruction of WTC 1 &2.

I dont think he's a god just because he's a Physicst; I do think his analysis of WHERE the moulten metal came from is a potentially sound one. That's ALL; pure and simple.

[Sorry for double posting this but it is important.]

OK I've figured this one out:

The thermite was moved to the skin by the impacting aircraft. As we watch the original thermite footage (see clip below) we need to orientate ourselves and realise that the aircraft entered the building from behind the tower, as we view it ,coming towards us. The aircraft would have pulled the thermite to the skin or at least near enough to run and drip from the tower.

This explains why the south tower which was hit second falls first because they had to “pull it” because the thermite was a smoking gun!
