Clip from BBC documentary via 911 Blogger:

Notice the way the second building flares up as the first one collapses past it. What does this mean? Is it a temporary drop in air pressure 'sucking' the flames out the windows?

The perpetrators may have cut some core columns in the north tower as the south was falling. I can't see any other explanation although I'll remain open minded.
