I note they're playing the 'Saddam mass grave numbers game' again. Geoff Hoon on question time claimed "300K from 295 sites" which is 100K less than Bliar claimed the day Saddam was caught "400 thousand bodies counted " he gravely intoned. This was a one third increase almost overnight and aroused even our docile press's suspicion, so they quizzed him about the figure at his monthly press conference and, as I understand it, he confessed that he had rather moved the decimal point in the Saddam mass grave body count figure two places to the right, the official count at that point in time being 5K.(Have you notice how quiet Bliar has been on that front since?)

Is there any chance of us getting the truth?

Another classic 'Hoon came out with re. Saddam's execution was ...'I don't agree with the death penalty but Iraq is a sovereign country therefore we cannot intervene'!!!
