At the risk of being shot for straying off the reservation, can I ask for a link to the Venezuelan Government's statement? Maybe it is here and my Spanish isn't up to it.

Very profound dh but not connected to your thread let alone 'official'.

Prison Planet doesn't represent the government of Venezuela. _________________ "It's been my policy to view the Internet not as an 'information highway,' but as an electronic asylum filled with babbling loonies.” Mike Royko

For the love of God Pikey, I politely asked for a link, a reference to and/or from the government of Venezeula. I didn't call anyone 'stupid' nor did I 'play the man'.
As for providing evidence I explained myself the last time I was here. You then said you wouldn't be wasting any more time on me and yet here you are. Quote: | Is that stupidity, loss of memory

Now, perhaps dh would like to provide all readers with a 'horse's mouth' link. _________________ "It's been my policy to view the Internet not as an 'information highway,' but as an electronic asylum filled with babbling loonies.” Mike Royko

Now, perhaps dh or blackcat would like to provide all readers with a 'horse's mouth' link. Not Prison Planet, not the Miami Herald but the Venezuelan government. I thought you guys didn't trust the media?
Chavez must have posted something appropriate here. Please help me and others find it.

ASM you've strayed from Critics corner again. Is that stupidity, loss of memory or disrespect fror this website and those who use and visit it for the right reasons?

Pikey - I can see nothing in ASM's posts above that warrants your reaction. All he did was ask for a link to the source.
blackcat - ASM is entirely correct when he states that PrisonPlanet.com does not speak for the state of Venezuela. Nor does the Miami Herald. I see no reason for your attack on him.
Both of you - When I follow the Miami Herald link all I get is a sign-up page - not an article. A general search of the internet did not produce any other reliable sources. I visited the Venezuelan government portal but I don't know enough Spanish and I can't see an English version. Perhaps blackcat or pikey can help us to locate the Venezuelan Government's statement. _________________ Error in module creativity.dll : unable to create witty comment.

Quote: | His comments, which were fairly typical of his recent attacks on Bush, came shortly after the publication of a resolution by Venezuela's legislative National Assembly describing the 9/11 attacks as ''self-inflicted'' and after an exhibition at the Foreign Ministry building in Caracas in which Bush was portrayed as a Nazi storm trooper.
The resolution, which appeared in the official government gazette in mid-October, |
Go find the official Venezuelan gazette if you are that mistrusting of the reams of sites which have quoted it. When I click the Miami Herald link I get the article but there are plenty of others. Do a search for
"Venezuela's legislative National Assembly describing the 9/11 attacks as ''self-inflicted''
and you will find plenty. Maybe they are all in on a conspiracy to make Chavez seem anti-Bush when he is obviously his best mate! |

ASM is an OCT supporter, and we do ask such people to post in Critic's Corner.
However, I think he makes a fair point here. A while ago, much was made of Chavez's speech at the UN:
http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/09/21/1538241
There is a link to the video on this site of his speech, where he describes Bush as the devil. At one point he holds up a book by Noam Chomsky.
Soon after I heard about this, I asked the question "Why didn't he hold up 1 of David Ray Griffin's books"? Why didn't he mention 9/11 Truth issues in the speech linked above? This really puzzled me - and still does.
I am sorry to take the wind out of people's sails, but I feel the Chavez issue hasn't really developed in a way which to me makes him much of talking point for the 9/11 Truth Campaign - even if he has made various sympathetic noises.
And I know there will be others who violently disagree with me - but that's my view on this issue - and it may be wrong, I don't know... Maybe Chavez is biding his time politically, or something... _________________ Andrew

To be quite honest I wish I hadn't posted Chavez's speech here. As long as he and his country aren't obliterated under a hail of US fire power, they are no more to be trusted than any other supposed antagonistic government. They often turn out to be no more than nwo puppets party to the game.
I would hope with Chavez he means what he's reported as saying, but I wouldn't hold nor waste my breath _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction |

I seem to have found a video-cast of Hugo Chavez 20th Sept speech on the UN website. _________________ Error in module creativity.dll : unable to create witty comment.
