This isn't exactly 9/11 related but in view of the current resurgent interest in espionage, vis-à-vis the death of Alexander Litvinenko, this BBC Radio 4 programme, 'Tracking The Lincolnshire Poacher' about numbers stations might be of some interest. It will only be available via their Listen Again facility for another few days so I ripped the .ram file to .mp3 and uploaded a .torrent of it to Conspiracy Central:
Tracking The Lincolnshire Poacher - Conspiracy Central torrent informaton
The Lincolnshire Poacher in the title refers to the bizarre electronic version of this old folk song which preceded the transmitions from one of these number stations.
Description I included:
BBC Radio 4 programme about numbers stations which have been broadcasting seemingly randon sequences of spoken numbers for about 80 years.
From the BBC website:
Simon Fanshawe embarks on a detective journey into the clandestine world of radio cryptography and attempts to solve one of the most unusual broadcast mysteries of all time.
Wikipedia on numbers stations:

The .mp3 file is only 32Mb. I'll seed until either there are no downloaders or it looks like there are enough other seeders to keep it going. Or some other unforeseen circumstances! |

Thanks for this. I love listening to number stations. I've been in to them for years. I used to play them to mates and freak them out.
Peace and love
