the claim that there is 'a' plan for 'a' 'new world order' singular is completely misleading and a crass generalisation by conspiracy theorists. George Bush is referring to a political situation here.
when you really diligently study the phrase 'new world order' you see it is an ideological construct, not a neat package that describes unicamerally a future world.
when conspiracy theorists hear someone say 'new world order' they all think it is an explicit reference to an elite hidden plan being manifested outwardly..it is not.
it is in one sense a description of a phase of history between the collapse of the USSR and 9/11 when the world was edging towards a peaceful liberal international setup
in another sense its a theory that describes a world free of war when nations work together rather than in conflict as characterised by woodrow wilson.
it also has many other definitions in literature.
GHWB's quote istaken out of context far too often. The bush speech is addressing the post cold war era. he is talking about a new order not based on bipolar divisions, one based on open markets and globalisation and peace. I dont doubt he is a dubious character, up to his knees in elite trickery, but if you want evidence from what you quoted - there is none, its all interpreted circumstantially and bent by the wants of the researcher to fit their theories = bad method.
that is the fact..anything else is conspiracy theory that has no place in the evidence
when a politician says he wants to see a new world order he is talking about a world not driven by rule of the jungle - known as 'realism' in political speak, where nations do not fight, but rather accept international structures. Nothing more - unless you assume there is more - and again thats where i have to leave you because most people do not study academic politics in this community and to them what i have said above is not a consideration or apparent. Maybe if looking up 'realism' and 'neo-liberalism' a little would help.
I do believe there is a definite agenda to go a certain way socially in every western nation on this planet, further more i have proven it in my own work to my own satisfaction - it is not a theory at all. There is a plan for economic integration of the world into 5-6 units, id-chipped populations and the removal of civil freedoms to be replaced by the elite governed rule of the market - fact. UNLESS we stop it by doing the only thing we have left at our disposal - educating people and inspiring them to rebel. however this plan is not referenced every time a politican or academic commentator says 'new world order'
the NWO claimed by conspiracy researchers as seen on the dollar bill etc.. is something else. the latin on the pyramid seal of the dollar does not translate to new world order - it is not the same thing.
Quote: | Translating NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM
* Novus means: new, young, novel.
* Ordo means: row, series, order.
* Seclorum means: of the ages, of the generations, of the centuries.
An accurate translation of Novus Ordo Seclorum is "A New Order of the Ages," but the meaning of this motto is better understood when seen in its original context. |

Not nitpicking, but that speech was actually made in 1991. |
