Military coup d'etat in the US?! We can but hope...

Bush has suddenly gone very grey and old looking in the last couple months, the strain IS getting to him I think.

how can we be sure this is true and not disinfo or someother sick game that is being played?

it has appeared for a very long time that bush can do anything he wants why would now be any differant, if one thing has become clear since 9/11 that is these people are above the law and answer to noone. also bush would of never been able to do anything hes done without help from others.

or is that what this is meant for? aim all the blame at bush and let the others of scott free. i carnt see this happening even if they tried, if there was justice and decent people in this world we would'nt be in the current situation we are in. but we are which proves decent people dont exsist in high postions, and i have lost all my faith in those that can do something. the ones who have tried are ignored and discredited sacked ect. when the hell was a job ever more important than the world we live! and yet people fear speaking out cos they dont want to lose their job.

its seems like the people are the enemy of the goverment these days and cannot see it changing. there are only those who wish to profit from others misery that exsists theses days it goes with their jobs and then they get knighted for it. its disgusting!

bah im ranting !

An anti-Bush-Cheney coup by the military is not beyond the realms of possibility. Already, there has been a takeover of the main intelligence agencies by the military, which puts the military in a good position to arrest Bush if he goes too far:
- retired US Navy Vice Admiral Michael McConnell is the National Intelligence Director in charge of all that nations intelligence activities;
- US Air Force General Michael V. Hayden - Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA);
- Lieutenant General Keith B. Alexander - Director of the National Security Agency (NSA);

And for good measure: former US Marine Hero, Robert Mueller - Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

In ‘Revolt of the Generals on eve of elections’, published in LaRouche’s Executive Intelligence Review in October 2006, Jeffrey Steinberg wrote:

‘On Oct. 16, The Nation published a cover-story, "Revolt of the General—Military Officers Speak Out Against A Failed War," by Richard J. Whalen, a prominent Republican Party strategist. Whalen began his piece: "A revolt is brewing among our retired Army and Marine generals. This rebellion—quiet and nonconfrontational, but remarkable nonetheless—comes not because their beloved forces are bearing the brunt of ground combat in Iraq, but because the retirees see the U.S. adventure in Mesopotamia as another Vietnam-like, strategically failed war, and they blame the errant, arrogant civilian leadership at the Pentagon."

‘Indeed, in the concluding section of his lengthy The Nation piece, Whalen observed that "The retired generals' revolt may be inspired by their apprehension over a wider Mideast conflict spreading to potentially nuclear Iran." Citing retired Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, Whalen wrote, "She speculates that the generals are trying to get rid of Rumsfeld now to head off a conflict with Iran. The Bush Administration," he continued, "has contingency plans to bomb Iran's UN-disapproved nuclear sites. Some under-employed Navy and Air Force officers are lobbying to strike Iran, but the overstretched ground combat forces overwhelmingly oppose it as the worst of all possible wars."’

On 26 October several active duty reserve and National Guard signed a petition asking for a withdrawal from Iraq.

Another source, former NSA analyst Wayne Masden, suggests that the final straw against Rumsfeld was a mutiny in Iraq. The new Defence Secretary, Robert Gates, had to fly out to Iraq to calm things down.

I think this suggests that the Iraqi Study Group was primarily put together to maintain the aims – nuclear conflict in the Middle East and World War III – but change the strategy to avoid a mutiny by the military. Of course, there are still military loyalists who want to deliver World War III. And I suspect that the military and their intelligence counterparts will facilitate Bush’s military strike against Iran. But if it goes pear shaped and looks like precipitating World War III, they will stage a coup against both Bush and Cheney. They may not want a military coup. The anti-Bush coup will leave Pelosi in power.

This does not mean sweetness and light then prevails. Bush and Wall Street supporters will still be around. There will be an economic crisis. The military leaders will want Pelosi to agree to martial law and Wall Street will still be able to push their North American Union and World Government agenda.
