It is the bit after "or" that I am having trouble with.
I want something that will make people curious and enquiring enough that will encourage them to attend rather turn them away.
Any other ideas? |

... should we first be certain that official version of events are the complete truth. Evidence that is now in the public domain is causing million worldwide to do the latter...
This all depends on what you are trying to say. Personally I would not start with the wording you have begun with (but thats just me) This statement is very polaric/black and white. Something more all - embracing might be more appropriate such as:
What do you actually know about the events of Sept 11th 2001? Are you completly satisfied that you have been privvy to ALL the facts?
You could just end with 'not'?
When doing anything for an advert I would consider keeping it as simple as possible.
Pictures work best with a few simple words. _________________ It's not about terror, its about illusion. It's not about war, it's about you

SHOULD WE ALLOW THE TRAGEDY OF
September 11th 2001
TO FADE FROM OUR COLLECTIVE MEMORY OR ..
… or should we honour those who died by taking a closer look at what happened, and learning the lessons for today?
What new information has the US government given us in the years since 9/11? What are the views of the survivors and families who are still campaigning on the issues?
Come and find out what we know now that we didn’t know on 9/11, the day that shaped the decade.
(Sounds interesting to me anyway, but then I'm a sucker for this stuff!) |

Hi Scubadiver
Great idea. This may be too long, but how about something along the lines of:
"SHOULD WE ALLOW THE TRAGEDY OF
September 11th 2001
TO FADE FROM OUR COLLECTIVE MEMORY?
9/11 has been used as a pretext for an illegal war in Iraq.
9/11 has resulted in the deaths of 650,000 civilians in the Middle East.
9/11 has been used to erode our traditional British freedoms.
But what really happened?
Check the facts for yourself at www.911truthcampaign.net"
You could also put some local contact details in at the end too.
Regards

or . . .
would you like to see the explosions going off in the Twin Towers first ?
would you like to find out about the mystery of the 3rd sky scraper that fell on 9/11 ?
do you know about the plans to invade Afghanistan and Iraq were written long before the Twin Towers were destroyed ?
would you like to know who made millions of dollars from the Twin Tower's collapse ?
do you have questions too ?
would you like to know why British Soldiers are still dying ?
why ??% of New Yorkers / Americans do not believe President Bush ?
would you like to know more ?
would you like to know why London's 9/11 was 7/7 ?
would you like some lessons from history ?
are you happy your TV & newspapers lied to you ? _________________ The Medium is the Massage - Marshall McLuhan. |

or....
...should we respect the wishes of those who lost their love ones and reopen the investigation into 9/11 in order to address the inaccuracies and unanswered question of the Commission Report? |

I can understand why you are struggling to add to your opening statements as I wish to contact my local paper and get something put in it.
I would say there are at least 2-3 things to bear in mind on doing this:
1. The Editor of the paper Ultimately decides on what gets in and what does not. If he/she has no interest or belief in 9/11 Truth then it may not make the paper.
2. If worded correctly, it will definately make the paper and give enough information to readers so as to spark an interest and maybe even a phone call.
3. The Paper itself will decide what the headline will be, I know this from experience as I run a Yu-Gi-Oh club where I live and I desperately wanted the name Yu-Gi-Oh in the headline so readers would see it straight away. In the 2 articles my local paper printed they refused to put it in the title and instead used "Club is on the Cards" and "New Club in Town" headlines. Neither very clear on it being for Yu-Gi-Oh Cards!
The best bet I think is to go for the "9/11 Awareness Forum Meet" tell them you would like to create a weekly meet for people to discuss the 9/11 attacks and what they mean for todays society and also to view a number of independent documentaries regarding the attacks and disuss the issues shown. Also discussed will be US/UK foreign policies to make people more aware of politics and Media Coverage of World News. Furthermore the meet will offer free information packs including the before mentioned documentaries on DVD format.
Now I'm not even sure they will go for something like that, which is why I am still struggling with it!!
What do you think to this approach?

If its just an ADVERT I think that (wild excpetions notwithstanding) you can have anything you like!
The Editor of a magazine or paper does NOT have time to survery all the news stories AND all the small ads any more than your MP is going to knock on your front door every morning to ask if the local paper shop is stocking your favourite buscuits!
Basically they will prevent the following going in as an advert,
1: Anything obviously offering an Illegal service
2: Anything provoking illegal behaviour (eg racist propoganda)
3: Anything immoral in nature (eg offering a wife-swapping evening!)
As long as you dont put an ad in saying "the lying ba****ds in the whitehouse killed them all" you should be ok.
