LCD multimedia projector

Following the excellent Unspinning the truth presentation in Lancaster before Xmas, to enable us to keep the 911 truth campaign rolling locally (Cumbria/North Lancashire) at grassroots level we desparately need an lcd multimedia projector to enable us to do regular weekly/fortnightly public showings of the numerous 911 dvds.

As a group between us we have a laptop computer and screen.

Can anyone help?

After paying all the expenses at the UTT event there was a bit left in the kitty to facilitate booking the venue for our next event and replenishing the dvds etc but not enough to purchase a projector.

A budget projector new is circa £500 although you can possibly purchase a decent second hand one (greater than 1000 lumens) from e bay for £300-350.

Is there any way these projectors could be resourced centrally through the campaign and loaned out to groups as and when required?

Sadly its the lack of resourcing/funding which is holding us back.

We are looking for a suitable large venue for the William Rodrigez event at Lancaster but the quotes we have received so far are circa £500!

The more quality public events you do the more the potential to raise more funds to plough back into the campaigning and grow the campaign.

Its a case of chicken and the egg. We desparately need instant/fast avialablity of an LCD multimedia projector. Remember not all folk have broadband/computer access and in many cases even with broadband when you watch the array of the dvds on our front page here they break up /dont download.
