"In a shock twist to the normally reliable internet availability of IndyMedia.org, an Internet site created for the publication of campaigners and activists events and protests worldwide, it was announced yesterday that all IndyMedia events were cancelled due to staff shortageshttp://www.protest.net/imcuk/index.cgi.
The announcement has set thousands of grassroots campaigners' organised events adrift, who are left wondering how their events will be publicised to the site's thousands of daily surfers.
Speaking from her home City of Liverpool, grassroots 911 Campaigner Rosalie Priday commented "The availability of this site has always been great in the past, but this shock announcement has really caused problems for our event. We only submitted the announcement five days ago, and now with just a week to go, our prospective attendees will have no way of knowing when or where the evening starts, or even that it exists at all."
The news follows the announcement in late 2004 that nearly two dozen main servers to the 140 site network had been seized by Government Officials http://ipsnews.net/interna.asp?idnews=25889, fuelling rumours that a further clampdown on freedom of expression within the Independent Media Network may well be on the way."
Really, this is a bit strange...we only posted our 911 Night up on IndyMedia a few nights ago and seemed to be the only 911 linked night for several weeks either side...and now all access to events listings on the Liverpool site for IndyMedia has been scrapped, including for our night. Strange how the last time their servers were this badly affected seems to have links to 911 too...think I'm a little scared.. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/bobzimmerfan?feature=mhum#p/a |

Well don't GSTT! If anything at all, why not take it as a compliment
It sounds as though you are beginning to see the eyes of Big Brother at every juncture.
Have NO fear. I have found that when I engauge matters with my heart, nothing can touch me. I once put a big sign up where I work it simply said 'STOP WORRYING!' Things at work got much better. The human race is infected at cellular level with worry. It takes our eyes off the ball and prevents us from getting anywhere in life.
Fear is only a reflection of what YOU are feeling.
If this avenue has closed (indymedia) ask the universe to provide you with another.
You are bringing the truth to the ears and eyes of people. Enjoy the ride. _________________ It's not about terror, its about illusion. It's not about war, it's about you

This is persistant and malicious spamming on the indymedia calendar which is open to all. The actual event announcements still appear below all the spam announcements. The calendar is cleaned up all too rarely
Just put your announcement on the main or regional indymedia board and it should remain safe _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction |
