How are people getting packed halls (200)?

I am organising the Henley event on my own and I am struggling to understand why not more people are enquiring after putting adverts into papers. I have 60 so far which isn't too bad but I am only a third of the way there. My attempt at leafleting hasn't really worked well either.

I have asked my local paper whether they would be willing to include a feature in advance of the talk but will see what they say.

Would a marketing ploy work (eg. If someone is coming and they pursuade a friend, do they get a free DVD???).

If you keep up the Leafleting you will meet people who know the
Truth about 9-11 ETC, Do you know of any book shops were you could leave your fylers?

Also you could PM some hard core campaigners on this forum and ask them do they know anyone in your area, ASK FOR HELP! PM Andrew Johnson, Pikey, Annie, Ian Neal ETC

If you keep at it, you will have success! And be able to help start a local movement.

if you already have 60 people lined up William's visit to Henley on Feb 22nd, you really have no worries about getting a full house! I have the contact details of two Reading based activists who would love to get involved. They are more than willing to get posters and flyers out in Reading. These contacts have been Reading based for four years and have excellent local contacts!

I will email you a copy of the article that appeared in the Western Morning News as a result of William's last visit to the South West. Phone the relevant local papers to establish a specific contact and speak with them about William's forthcoming visit to Henley. Then immediately you put the phone down, send your contact a Press Release with the details of the event and attach a copy of the WMN article.
