The full text of the fake-looking videotape of Mohammad Sidique Khan, one of the four alleged 7 July bombers, which was aired on Arabic television channel al-Jazeera.

"I'm sure by now the media's painted a suitable picture of me. This predictable propaganda machine will naturally try to put a spin on things to suit the government and to scare the masses into conforming to their power and wealth-obsessed agendas.

(The makers of the tape do not want the public to think that rich elites are trying to control them through terror. They do not want the public to know about operation Northwoods or Operation Gladio. The tape makers assume that the public will reject Khan's theories 'because he is a mad bomber'.)

"I and thousands like me are forsaking everything for what we believe. Our driving motivation doesn't come from tangible commodities that this world has to offer. Our religion is Islam - obedience to the one true God, Allah, and following the footsteps of the final prophet and messenger Muhammad... This is how our ethical stances are dictated.

(Khan was a teaching assistant. Would he use a phrase such as 'tangible commodities'?)

Your democratically elected governments continuously perpetuate atrocities against my people all over the world. And your support of them makes you directly responsible, just as I am directly responsible for protecting and avenging my Muslim brothers and sisters. Until we feel security, you will be our targets. And until you stop the bombing, gassing, imprisonment and torture of my people we will not stop this fight. We are at war and I am a soldier. Now you too will taste the reality of this situation.

(Israel wants public opinion on Israel's side as it tries to form a greater Israel. The Pentagon wants public opinion on the Pentagon's side while it grabs strategically important areas of the world. So Khan must emphasise that British and American governments are 'democratically elected' while Moslems are 'at war'.)

I myself (pray) to Allah... to raise me amongst those whom I love like the prophets, the messengers, the martyrs and today's heroes like our beloved Sheikh Osama Bin Laden, Dr Ayman al-Zawahri and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and all the other brothers and sisters that are fighting in the... of this cause. With this I leave you to make up your own minds and I ask you to make dua to Allah almighty to accept the work from me and my brothers and enter us into gardens of paradise." (Khan associates himself with bin Laden so that we will hate Khan even more. Khan fails to mention that bin Laden always worked for the CIA. The bin Ladens Most intelligent and educated Moslems in Britain no longer believe the spin about Zarqawi. Who is Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi?)

Haroon Rashid Aswat is reported to have made phonecalls to Khan.The investigation into the London bombings allegedly turned up Aswat's phone number during examination of the mobile telephone records of the four alleged bombers of July 7.

Sources said that days after the first explosions, around 20 phone calls were found to have been made from his mobile to some of the men who caused carnage on the London Underground and a bus in the capital.

Mr. Aswat was raised in Dewsbury, the same area where Mohammad Sidique Khan lived.

The police have recently declared that they are NOT investigating Aswat in connection with the London bombings.

Sandra Laville, in the 3 September 2005 Guardian, interviewed friends of Khan.

One friend of Khan said of the video shown on al Jazeera:"It's a fake. Look at the way his lips were moving; they looked odd, the whole thing is a fake."

"It's nonsense," said Mohammed Afsal, a father of five and member of the Hardy Street mosque."I know people can change in a second, but I can't say he is one of them. He taught my son, he was a very good teacher. He was never hardline - no one could say he was an extremist - he was peaceful and dedicated to the children. They all loved him."

According to the Guardian, Khan's wife, Hasina Patel, who is expecting a baby, his young daughter and his mother-in-law, Farida Patel, are essentially living in hiding in Dewsbury, according to friends.

His parents, Tika Khan and Mamida Begum, have not been seen at their home in Nottingham since the police led them away in the aftermath of the bombings.

It's a difficult one to answer if you accept the official line that he was the leader of the group
However, the tape is so phony, it could almost be CGI, it needs thorough investigation
We need to dig out the possible scenarios under which this tape surfaced
