One thing that comes to mind here is, if you take this drug to eliminate traumatic memories. How will you know what you are taking the drug for, ergo, surely this will act as a trigger to the traumatic memory. |

The conceit that there is even the faintest idea about the human psyche and its nature is absolutely breathtaking. Another milestone in the anti-holistic quest to reduce human beings to a collection of components.
You do have to wonder what the purpose might be - would even a Holocaust survivor choose to eliminate all memory as if it had never happened? On the other hand, maybe it would be a useful tool in creating monsters with no conscience to bother them - so-called supersoldiers for instance.
