Brangwyn Hall, Guildhall Road South, Abertawe / Swansea, SA1 4PE: 22nd to 25th Mar 2007

This weekend at the Green Party Spring Conference in Swansea, the following Motion and Amendment will be debated and voted on. Myself and Ian Henshall will be attending a fringe meeting on Saturday night starting 7pm where we hope we can persuade Green Party activists to throw out the ridiculous and cowardly Amendment put forward by some ill-informed senior party members who obviously don't want the truth to get out and who wish, for whatever reasons, to dilute the effectiveness of the original motion.

Unfortunately, both Ian and myself are no long members of the Party so there is a limit to what we can do, but we do have some 9/11 Truthers who are GP members and who will be there in the debate on Sunday and we must hope that their debating skills will carry the day.

Quote:
Motion C14. 9-11 inquiry

Synopsis (provided by SOC) : The motion asserts that Bush's 'War on Terror' after 9/11 became an excuse for illegal pre-emptive military invasion and therefore commits the Green Party to support the Green Party of the United States in its call for a full inquiry into all the events connected with the attacks of 911.

Motion: “Bush's endless 'War on Terror' in response to 9/11 became an excuse for illegal preemptive military invasion, torture, and curtailment of freedoms, with many of the worst Bush policies endorsed by both Democrats and Republicans, as well as the UK Government. The US Green Party candidates and leaders, on the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, therefore called for a new, independent, and expanded investigation of the attacks and the Bush Administration's response. The Green Party of England and Wales supports the US Green
Party in its call for a full inquiry into all the events connected with the attacks of 11th September 2001, both in the USA and in the UK.”

Amendment 1 Add new paragraph: "The Green Party does not, however, believe that there is evidence that any organisation other than Al Qaida was responsible for the attacks. Nor will it support or associate with fringe elements that espouse 'conspiracy theories' that attempt to suggest that the events of 9 September 2001 in New York were devised and perpetrated in secret by US security forces, finding these suggestions in poor taste. Rather, it supports the need for an inquiry into both the handling of intelligence prior to the terrorist attacks, and the political response, with its devastating long term effects on international security."

Amendment submitted by Jim Killock, Roger
Creagh-Osborne, Darren Johnson
& Ben Duncan & others.

Original motion proposed by Janet Alty, Andrew
Waldie, Bill Rigby, Shan Oakes
and 1 other

If that amendment were passed, I think it might be time for honest Green Party members to abandon a stinking rotten ship

Subject: Re: Reported conference motion and ammendment...Dear Sir/ Madam,

Could you please direct this E-mail to the relevant Green Party department or individuals with whom it would concern. Thank You.

I have been informed that the following issue is to be debated...

"Brangwyn Hall, Guildhall Road South, Abertawe / Swansea, SA1 4PE: 22nd to 25th Mar 2007

This weekend at the Green Party Spring Conference in Swansea, the following Motion and Amendment will be debated and voted on...

& Ben Duncan & others.

and 1 other."

Could you firstly, please confirm that this reported motion is factually correct? If it is indeed correct, can you please explain why "The Green Party would not believe that there is evidence that any organisation other than Al Qaida was responsible for the attacks", when there is indeed no published evidence that Al Qaida did indeed carry out the attacks?

The proposed ammendment also goes on to say that...
"Nor will it (The Green Party) support or associate with fringe elements that espouse 'conspiracy theories' that attempt to suggest that the events of 9 September 2001 in New York were devised and perpetrated in secret by US security forces, finding these suggestions in poor taste".
First, could you please explain why the official narrative is exempt from the label "conspiracy theory" when indeed it is only a theory of a conspiracy? This is due to the fact that sufficient proof, beyond reasonable doubt, has to date still not been provided supporting the '19 Arab hijackers' theory. (If you can prove this fact, It would be of great assistance?).
Second, can you please explain why, this ammendment makes the assumption that those who have serious scientific and other factual problems with the official narrative, would automatically point the finger at the "US security forces"? Is it not fair to assume that a proper investigation should look at all the evidence and come to conclusions based on this evidence? Is it not the case that forming conclusions without a 'full spectrum' investigation (one which does not put limits on the scope of the investigation as indicated in the ammendment) is indeed in "poor taste"?

Also the ammendment concludes with "Rather, it supports the need for an inquiry into both the handling of intelligence prior to the terrorist attacks, and the political response, with its devastating long term effects on international security."
It would not be understating the point to suggest that this enquiry has already been carried out. 'The 9/11 Commission Report' was carried out within the scope of the above statement. What do you believe to be gained from carrying out and repeating this investigation?

Just to clarify the comment "Poor Taste" within the text of the proposed ammendment, I would request you watch the film "9/11 Press For Truth" (available at... http://www.youtube.com/members?s=ms&t=a&g=0 )... and please explain why the truth (whatever that may be.) would be in poor taste to the families who are still actively campaigning for conclusive answers to their, as yet, unanswered questions?

I greatly look forward to your response on this issue.

Regards,

Brian McHugh BSc PgD

Response awaited.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your e-mail. I will forward it on to the proposers of the
amendment.

I should just point out, in case it is necessary, that the amendment
reflects the views of the individuals who wrote it, but may be rejected by
conference when they come to debate it.

Best wishes
