1. Wanted: Anti-war web editors/designers
The Media Workers Against the War website www.mwaw.net is up and
running, and is already posting useful material.
But we have big plans to turn it into an indispensable source for
conscientious journalists and anti-war activists in the media, with
critiques, resources and inspiration.
Can you help? If you have a little time to spare (doesn't matter how
little), some journalism or technical web skills -- or just some good
ideas! -- and would like to be involved in this exciting project,
please reply to this email or call Mario on 07960 928 960.
2. Media briefing: Islamic law - myth and reality
With Islam specialist Paul Grieve,
atheist and author: “A Brief Guide to Islam” (2006)
Islamic law has become a crude shorthand in the British media for
everything supposedly “barbaric”, “sexist” and “backward” about Islam.
Here’s you chance to ask the questions about Sharia you always wanted
to ask.
Monday April 2
