They keep cutting it. The interpreter isn't being allowed to translate it.

'They keep cutting it.'?

Who?

It sounds to me like some pretty nonsense technology is causing interference.

Let's not be paranoid!

Hmmm...

Awarding medals to the personnel who captured the 15 sailors and marines doesn't seem very diplomatic to me.

Hopefully this means that the Russians' concerns for a Good Friday American attack are completely unfounded - unless of course we are experiencing a big' feel good high' as we did when London won the Olympics the day before 7/7. There are still some very strange aspects to this affair. Why no proper cover for the boarding party? What was Cornwall's helicopter doing? Why did the Cornwall not pick up on its advanced radar systems' the Iranian Revolutionary Guards boats? Why was the Cornwall situated four miles away from the Indian freighter when the depth in the channel approaching the Shatt al Arab waterway was easily enough for the frigate to navigate? And what about the amazing coincidence of the BBC filming the female member of the boading party just hours before they set off on their 'routine' patrol. Perhaps it was just a good old fashioned c***-up by the Royal Navy which has left the Senior Service looking very silly in the world's eyes. Perhaps Commodore Lambert will have to be shot on his own quarterdeck as we did with Admiral Byng back in 1757 after his failure to capture Minorca (another low point in the Royal Navy) resulting in Voltaire’s famous suggestion (in Candide) that from time to time the British find it desirable to shoot an admiral “pour encourager les autres”.

John Bolton was interviewed on Channel 4 News and sounded very upset about how the whole 'Navy hostages' incident has turned out. He criticised Britain for not 'standing up' to Iran and making Ameinejad look good.

Presumably he was hoping this would turn to sh** and give his mates an excuse to immediately nuke Tehran.

What are Channel 4 doing giving this criminal psycho-creep airtime?

Agreed kbo, also Blair looks disappointed at the outcome, and just reitterated that he holds the Iranian people no harm, and it's just the Iranian regime he has problems with.

Sounds just like what was said to the Iraqi people a few years ago.

I've googled for a translation of the Ahmadinejad statement and the press Q & A for ages without success. Anyone know how i can find out what he said for 120 minutes without having to learn Iranian?
