I disagree profoundly with Ralph's old, unreconstructed, Marxist-Leninist ideology and his somewhat hysterical anti Zionist agenda (in my book he inaccurately uses Zionism as a synonym for Israeli nationalism but that's another discussion).

However, he is probably the best informed reader of WASP intent on the scene today (so good in fact that I often wonder whether he, like his contemporary Lyndon LaRouche, is a CIA nark) so I listen very carefully to his weekly utterances on Taking Aim.

On April 1st (!) last he was a guest speaker at a meeting organised by the New York chapter of 9/11 Truth. I don't know whether he voiced his concerns over the movements principal demand (commission of enquiry ito the events of 9/11) but he articulates them in the latest download listed in the Taking Aim archive (No. 070327).

Based on his experience of the post Warren congressional hearings into the death of JFK he obviously feels that a similar 9/11 enquiry would just turn into a bloodbath (literally). Ralph obviously has no time for what he considers to be the system investigating itself (a position that I can understand but not necessarily endorse). His answer, of course, is proletarian revolution.

NB Ralph voices his scepticism IN THE FINAL THREE MINUTES of the download.

We can not rely on socialiststs. We are a new movement and we are getting into avenues that socialists have not been able to get into. Its not a political statement to say "9/11 Was an Inside Job" or to say "Investigate 9/11", its a MORALE STATEMENT! This stretches beyond politics.

What exactly does your morale (sic) movement advocate, Zabooka?

As for socialist gatekeepers, for the moment at least, the jury is out in my mind on Ralph Schoenman. The 9/11 Truth movement clearly regards him as an allly. That is because he accepts that 9/11 was a conspiracy.

Many socialists prefer to see 9/11 as Islamist revenge on the US. They use this event to sell to the 'masses' the idea that Socialism and Islam can unite to fight US imperialism andf globalisation.

So attractive is this proposition, that aspects of it have even filtered into the 9/11 truth movement itself (how many times have you seen on this board threads and posts defending Muslim fundamentalism, a tendency virtually created by the CIA itself and flooded with their agents, informants and patsies as cover both for their operations and the strategy of the US's hidden elite?)!

As Schoenman does not sign up to the 9/11 revenge hypothesis he cannot be considered a socialist gatekeeper (at least not in the conventional sense of the term). The point that he is making, that any congressional investigation into the 9/11 conspiracy would only spark off a wave of assassinations deserves serious consideration and discussion.

Not tub thumping rhetoric and waffle.

Have to say i am minded to agree with this.

I go along to Stop the War events which are manned by people I have time and respect for. I'm horrified with how close minded they are to 9/11 truth but sometimes I think, so what!

Even though they've been at the organisation business much longer they lack innovative energy and are content with relentless set-piece speeches.

where's their Loose change, for example?

they have t shirts marked
" drop beats not bombs" but you never hear a record!! Look at znet, it's like web audio and video were never invented

I think the loose affiliation that is the 9/11 truth movement is innovative energetic and having an impact. Write the tunes make the films and the podcasts organise the materials and forget chomsky and co.

I have learnt much from their ilk but we don't need them.
