I thought it was a NATO operation, not solely the USA and UK? |

Well we all know who pulls NATOs strings 
I guess the Europeans couldn't compete with cheap Yugo (small car remember them?) imports

But it was, IIRC, a genuine NATO op (not like the current one in Afghanistan) the French, German's, Italian's, Dutch and many more were involved. I don't believe this one can be pinned on the U.S and U.K, even if it was something to be ashamed about (which from my reading on the subject it most certainly wasn't). |

I've read a source that says a German Intelligence Officer went on record saying that there were no Ethnic Cleansing til after Nato started Bombing, obviously that is only one source mind you.
I also recall the use of the term 'part of the Axis of Evil' in news and Propaganda reports sighting cooperation between N.Korea also a communist state!! and the other Islamic bogymen we all know about!
I see no reason to see why Yugoslavia is in anyway different, there just wasn't the need for a 'Catalising Event'!!
