Mayday. Mayday. Mayday.
Today 1st May 2007, New Labour celebrates 10 years in power.
Today also marks Anthony Charles Lynton Bliar's 666th week and 6th day as New Labour leader.
Or, 12 years, 9 months and 11 days.
It's not controversial.
It is true.
No irony.
No subjective, pseudo philosophical mumbo jumbo.
It is a fact.
An indisputable, empirical truth.
No matter who you are or what you think, believe, have experienced, learned, thought, read, spoken, etc.
A truth.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Today also marks the 4th anniversary of the global village idiot's Mission Accomplished edict.
Just thought that was worth mentioning too.
Any thoughts on May Day's significance, historically, culturally or otherwise ? _________________ The Medium is the Massage - Marshall McLuhan. |

The modern bank holiday is, I believe, a labour day generally linked to the Haymarket massacre of 1886, but may also be linked to the pagan festival of Beltane. Here's an article I found that mentions both.
