...and the black art of speaking with forked tongue.
I don't know how many here agree with me that although it is fair to say "Every word a lie" regarding the MSM "News", often, parsing their s**t is worth the effort.
Or, how many have heard or give credence to the idea that when "they" appoint their gangmasters (pols) and praise singers (journos), they particularly value the ability to say two different things to two different parties. To be able to say one thing to one audience - the masses, and something entirely different to the masters.
We know of course that the MSM "tells us what to think and do", more or less. What, you didn't? Well, any 1st year degree level text on "Mass Communications" or similar will tell you that, it will just tell you so in different words.
This article seems to have both elements in spades, but...
They don't tell us what to do by diktat. We have a "free and independent press" after all, lmfao. They don't actually issue orders or commands. At least they don't at first year level. I wonder how many levels there are in mind bending studies?

The first thing you see is the picture. Take a look. Then -
Protesters! clash with police in London! in January over Israel's action in Gaza.
Such scenes could become more common sights in the UK
so it's ok for me to do it?
Police are preparing for a "summer of rage" as victims of the economic downturn take to the streets to demonstrate against financial institutions, the Guardian has learned.
We're going ahead with "Operation Summer of Rage"
Britain's most senior police officer with responsibility for public order raised the spectre of a return of the riots of the 1980s, with people who have lost their jobs, homes or savings becoming "footsoldiers" in a wave of potentially violent mass protests.
That could be describing the method (raising the spectre), and the deed itself (the raising of the spectre) "Footsoldiers" are obviously to be used as dumb stupid pawns, as mass murderer "Nobel Peace Prize" winner Heinz "Henry" Kissinger said of military men.
Superintendent David Hartshorn, who heads the Metropolitan police's public order branch, told the Guardian that middle-class individuals...
That's me! I'm reading the guardian after all..
...who would never have considered joining demonstrations may now seek to vent their anger through protests this year.
so I have permission?
He said that banks, particularly those that still pay large bonuses despite receiving billions in taxpayer money, had become "viable targets. So too had the headquarters of multinational companies and other financial institutions in the City which are being blamed for the financial crisis
so I have a target? The most I've dared do up to now was to throw my copy of Socialist Worker at that policeman during the poll tax demo... now I can go for the banks?
Hartshorn, who receives regular intelligence briefings on potential causes of civil unrest
Welcomes ideas for staged flashpoints
, said the mood at some demonstrations had changed recently,
Really? Well I don't want to be left out.
with activists increasingly "intent on coming on to the streets to create public disorder".
so that's what "activists" do is it? I want to act...
Intelligence reports suggest that "known activists" are also returning to the streets, and police claim they will foment unrest. "Those people would be good at motivating people, but they haven't had the 'footsoldiers' to actually carry out [protests]," Hartshorn said. "Obviously the downturn in the economy, unemployment, repossessions, changes that. Suddenly there is the opportunity for people to mass protest.
what, I can suddenly release this seething anger at the f**king lies, the wars, the lying politicians, big brother, parking fines, bin fines, not recycling fines, being royally f**ked at every turn in this poxy country, taxed and charged to the hilt, losing my job, maybe the house, while these rich *astards laugh at me? Can I?
"It means that where we would possibly look at certain events and say, 'yes there'll be a lot of people there, there'll be a lot of banner waving, but generally it will be peaceful', [now] we have to make sure these elements don't come out and hijack that event and turn that into disorder."
In the past we kept it peaceful. Now we will keep peace away. And "turn it into disorder".
Hartshorn identified April's G20 meeting of the group of leading and developing nations in London as an event that could kick-start a challenging summer. "We've got G20 coming and I think that is being advertised on some of the sites as the highlight of what they see as a 'summer of rage'," he said.
What's that you're pointing at? April's G20 you say? Is that where the *astards are? Can I start kicking them 'cos I really want to...
etc. etc, etc. _________________ If you want to know who is really in control, ask yourself who you cannot criticise.
