mankind made all these computers and stuff so we all think were so brilliant and civilization will advance but the bible says things will get worse
i wonder
technology cant save us
demons are attacking us though government maybe
maybe ww3 is near
or do you think some new age is appearing
if alex jones became president would he become like Frances Robespierre?
i feel i can trust few
people think since technology advanced then morality will advance - but has it? _________________ Puzzling Evidence

Some very debateable points there, Festival of Snickers. It does indeed seem that since the advent of computers, successive governments have used technology to watch us closer, and interfere in our lives than ever before.
Like all things man-made, technology is a two-edged sword that can be used for good or evil purposes.
You can't "blame" tecnology, however, you have to "blame" the people who are abusing it to further their own agendas.
We seem totally obsessed with interfering in other peoples affairs these days, (mind you, we probably always were, actually, just remember the "Corner Shop" gossip mongers.)
It's just that it's so much easier using technology to watch (and listen) to many more people over a much wider arena. _________________ regards, gericom |

3 page article shows the primitives can survive while the mainstream dies
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/03/18/60minutes/main681558.shtml
But there’s one group who live precisely where the tsunami hit hardest who suffered no casualties at all. They are the sea gypsies of the Andaman Sea, or as they call themselves, the Moken.
They’ve lived for hundreds of years on the islands off the coast of Thailand and Burma. They are, of all the peoples of the world, among the least touched by modern civilization.
And, as correspondent Bob Simon reports, they miraculously survived the tsunami because they knew it was coming. _________________ Puzzling Evidence

Its been a feeling of mankinds since technology began mate. Try and find a copy of "The Admirable Kryten". All about this posh family that end up shipwrecked and having to depend on their butler for survival because he's the only one who knows how to survive without silver service! Came out in the 50's I think.
Plus dont forget, 10 years ago you wouldnt have had this forum. So technology definately has its advantages! |
