Tony Gosling's thread here constructs an edifice of nonsense on a report in the Evening Standard that Bush said 1776 when he should have said 1976. The Times on the other hand claims he said 1796. But if you listen to the video, you hear that he actually said neither, he stopped after saying 17.... Here is the video, and the incident is at 3.35.

Of course it might be that the BBC has edited to tape to cover up this evidence of Illuminati influence - just thought I would mention that before someone else does!
