White flash of a detonation visible outside the South Tower

Watch very carefully. As it happens very fast near the beginning, you may miss the flash first time and need to replay the video a few times if you want to see it at normal speed. Otherwise, the flash is visible in the slow-motion repeated at different speeds.

At the beginning of the video, at least one white flash or spark becomes briefly visible outside windows of the South Tower in roughly the middle of the picture. Focus on that. It is followed by ejection of smoke/dust/debris. This white flash is a classic signature of the detonation of demolition charges. It is visible just below the centre of the picture at about 1, 4 and 9 seconds in the various replays.

It is clear that this flash is NOT a puff of white smoke, nor a piece of white debris (such as a sheet of white paper) being expelled with smoke from an open window because air inside the tower had been compressed by floors dropping on top of one another. No. There is an incendiary FLASH of light in the air outside the tower (therefore nothing electrical) - a flash that emanates from the windows before smoke has reached its location. The flash is followed by several thick billows of smoke that issue out of the windows from explosions inside the tower.

Several smaller flashes can be seen set against the face of the tower. I suggest looking for them after the major one has been spotted.

Demolition. No more pancakes or dominoes.

Can we be sure it isn't something catching the light as it tumbles? A piece of aluminium cladding or glass?

I am no explosives expert. What is the explanation for such a flash outside a building during controlled demolition?

Is there any footage of similar flashes in buildings known to have been demolished by explosives in a controlled demolition? If there were, then it might become more interesting.
