In case of interest, I have set up a page with Steven Jones Presentation in various formats.

For the Windows Media video, the start and end use the "live camera" shot, whilst the bulk of the presentation is a "screen capture" of the PowerPoint with Steven's audio sycnhed up.

The Flash version should work on Mac's too. I had to split the Flash version into 2 parts to get the conversion to work properly. I compressed the video clips so, even including the clip of Ellen Mariani, the PowerPoint is about half the size it was.

Excellent work Andrew, i downloaded the WMV file it last night. It looks much better than the AVI i've got. Feel your version would look much better on the DVDs

However I'm having trouble converting it to DVD. On TMPG it crashes at 26% and it wouldnt even start converting with Cucusoft.

Any suggestions Andrew? Could i have the wrong codec? I'm not at home just now but i'll email you later on dude

Please note folks that there's absolutely nothing wrong with this file to download and watch. I recommend it actually. Andrew's done some great work here. I just can't get it to convert!!

Andrew, I got about 40mins in to your link to the lecture and a message came up saying unable to play - possibly a corrupted file etc . Would this be a continual problem or one off, my computer knowledge is limited.

This is exactly the type of material that could be given to our local relevant academic/education departments and students.

Is there a copy of the handout at the lecture anywhere?

It's possibly a website traffic problem - it's a big file and may be generating a lot of traffic.

You can download the actual powerpoint file from the same page I linked (if you have powerpoint) and could print it out. To this end, I have generated a PDF file of the slides (4 per A4 page)
