Yesterday he wrote in the Guardian calling for a unifying of the various groups seeking real change in the UK. Today Reinvestigate has written to the Guardian challenging Monbiot to revisit his dismissal of 9/11 truth

Dear Sir,

George Monbiot is right to call for a unifying of the various groups
seeking real change in the UK. It is therefore all the more
unfortunate that in the past he made a such vehement attacks on the
911 truth movement.

George ridiculed the notion that the Twin Towers might have been
brought down with explosives rather than a spontaneous collapse, as
the official 9/11 narrative insists. Since George wrote his articles
world renowned nanophysicist Niels Harrit has established that the
dust from ground zero contains uncombusted chips of military grade
nanothermite particles, and it has been confirmed by NIST, the
official investigation team, that WTC7 did indeed collapse at free fall speed.

Only a few days ago the respected US journalist Jeffrey Scott Shapiro
who was on the spot at the time, has conceded that owner Larry
Silverstein was discussing the controlled demolition of WTC building
7 shortly before it collapsed.

Members of the 9/11 Commission have complained that they were lied to
by the Pentagon over the anti-hijack exercise that they now admit was
running on the morning of the 9/11 attacks. They have also (very
quietly) mentioned that the CIA refused to give them any information
on the activities of the top secret Osama Bin Laden unit that was
operating in the years before 9/11 and which was responsible for
stymying the FBI units who were on the trail of the alleged hijackers.

One thing we can all hopefully agree on is that, as the 9/11 wars
continue, the full story of the event that triggered them is the most
important issue of fact since the claim that Iraq was in possession
of weapons of mass destruction. Please would George Monbiot accept
that the 9/11 truth movement is a legitimate part of the new
politics, and that a genuine independent investigation into 9/11 and
for that matter 7/7 is long overdue.
