In addition I'd recommend a recent series of videos that focused on the Kennedy era and put things into a useful context with regards the post war period and build up of the MIC.

It's called 'Evidence of Revision'. No idea if they are on google but I have them all on DVD [maybe a data DVD I can't remember] and they are worth a watch if you want to dive into this area a bit more deeply than the average docu.

NB: Each section of the series is a professional bootleg - ie: it's not an officially sanctioned version/production. But who needs HBO or Hollywoood anyway.
