Sensing that the rug was about to be pulled under the puppet Palestinian ex-President Abbas, the Americans via their quisling govt in the Lebanon started to attack Palestinian refugee camps thus suspending an agreement which lasted over 4 decades (of non-interference).

The last man who attacked the Palestinians in Lebanon was Sharon and Israel. But Israel lost Lebanon and last year when they tried to regain it they lost the battle with Syrian backed Hezbollah.

Now the victory of Hamas in totality will revolutionise the relationship with Israel. Without the use of middlemen Israel will be obliged to venture into some sort of 'ethnic cleansing' either in Gaza or the West Bank. But this will be hard to do with HAMAS in control.

By implication the victory of Hamas will herald an even greater impetus in Iraq to bring forward the day of the ultimate defeat of the USA which now like Britain spends most of its time holed behind fortresses and venture only out at night to maim and kill or to support death squad activity.

How will US policy be reversed now in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq and to what extent blaming either Syria or Iran in and of itself leads to anything other than words.

If the mighty US army cannot control puny little Iraq what hope is there for Iran. Hezbollahs victory has brought victory for Hamas and Hamas victory in turn will lead inevitably to victory of the anti-American forces in Iraq.

9/11 was created to prop up the State of Israel and forestall a 3rd Intifada. It was created to justify a permanent 'war on terror'. Now it just creates the opposite effect. One defeat AFTER another for pro-US forces in the Middle East. To what extent will the Arab elites allow HAMAS full political reign now they have been forced to finance the regime due to the EU sanctions is the big question of our times.

The victory of HAMAS leads directly to the undermining of the Saudi-Egyptian position of appeasement towards the Zionist State of Israel. Will they be able to still collaborate after HAMAS victory?
