In the debate on the need for an inquiry into the Iraq war (and why not Afghanistan as well?) speaking to the motion...

That this House supports the principle that there should be an inquiry by an independent committee of Privy Counsellors to review the way in which the responsibilities of Government were discharged in relation to Iraq and all matters relevant thereto in the period leading up to military action in that country in March 2003 and in its aftermath and to make recommendations on the lessons for the future

Michael Meacher turned in a very sorry performance yesterday, failing totally to raise any of the previous questions he has with regards the War on Terror.

I thought the war was bogus Mr Meacher? Shame on you

But then he wasn't alone. No one raised any of the questions surrounding 9/11 or extraordinary rendition or depleted uranium or july 7 or the 'food for oil' scams or the halliburton scams and only Jeremy Corbyn managed to remember the Lancet study reporting 650000 deaths

An utterly pathetic performance from our elected representatives

From what i have seen the only MPs putting up a credible challenge have been the SNP and Plyde Cumri. For some reason Meecher is an absolute flip flopper and i would have thought now he is not running for labour leader he can be bolder.
Maybe his 20 houses on buy to lets are encouraging him to tow the labour line?
